Title: T and painkillers ?
Post by: Lost on October 25, 2012, 03:31:11 PM
Hello everyone,

Could T and painkillers (paracetamol or ibuprofen type) have a bad interaction with each other ?
I'm asking this because I'm having my first period while on T and I am going through horrible pains as usual. I'd call my doctor if only he weren't on a holiday this week. If I can't take any medication for it it means I can't sleep and can't go to work and have to spend the week at home screaming out in pain instead.

So, any advice ?
Thanks, bye!

I have taken prescription pain killers several times on T --- guys take pain killers who don't have a t booster --- you should be just fine.  A doctor wouldn't give them too you if it was a problem

Ok, thanks a lot for the advice .
What kind of painkillers don't have a T booster ? Would ibuprofen be fine ? (My GP prescribed it to me when I was pre-t and I forgot to mention it to my endocrinologist, who prescribed me t).
Have a nice day!

Definitely not a problem, I take pain killers all the time of various types for my back pain, prescribed and non prescribed

I think you misunderstood what was meant by t-boosters.

He meant bio guys, who do not take t-shots, take pain killers with no problem ... ergo trans guys who just have T levels the same as bio guys won't be any different

Definitely misunderstood the term, sorry. It makes more sense now.

Fine then, I'll put an end to my agony, at last  :)

Thank you both very much and have a nice day !
