If I had to give one piece of advice to trans people, other than be yourselves, it would be this: you may be a minority in this world, but remember that the people who hate you and discriminate against you are an even smaller minority. When you see hateful comments directed at or about trans people in response to articles on media sites, remember that the people expressing those ugly thoughts represent a tiny minority of people. The vast majority of people are not bigots. They are not transphobes. They are not ugly inside. They believe in live and let live, and would never say anything hateful to or about you.
Short, sweet, and to the point. Thanks for posting this, Madeline!
Excellent point, Madeline. Neve let bigots stop me from being me or from me doing what I want.
