Title: The Mentalist
Post by: LadySerraphym on November 05, 2012, 12:09:26 PM
I just watched an episode of the Mentalist that brought me to tears. It involved a gay boy who was murdered and the story revolved around a Drag Queen Cabaret. It was the most touching, respectful and nonjudgmental treatment of the subject I have ever seen on television. Just had to share.

With Love,

Aislinn

I remember that episode.  I think it was from last season.  It WAS very well done IMO.  But I'm a big fan of the show anyways as I think Jane shows the just the right amount of contempt or respect for subjects as they deserve.

I just missed it the other day.  That's OK,  TNT will run it again.

Never watch it to be honest. But have seen the adverts and the main actor is a very attractive guy.

I thought it was campy and used the stereotypical "man in a dress" meme followed by the "little girl" meme for the trans woman.  My wife and I weren't offended, but we didn't think it was that well done, just our perspective though.
