Title: 28% of Atheists would date a MtF transexual?
Post by: AnnieE on May 04, 2007, 11:39:15 PM
I took a poll on another site asking would you date a transexual, provided of course that she has undergone all possible surgeries and look very natural if not rather attractive. Or is the fact that she wasn't once that gender just too much to bare?

28% polled yes
72% polled no

Not fantastic results but it's would be better than if I polled Christian Fundamentalists. Also the numbers are a bit off because some wouldn't accept the givens and they were very open about it too.

Love changes everything, ask a forum wht percentage would wait upwards of a year before being able to have sex and the results would be astronomically low, however I've had a guy commit to waiting for me as he had fallen for me.

Most people just have no idea how it really works though. The phrase "all possible surgeries" kinda confirms most peoples views, I started HRT at the turn of my 18th birthday so these days i'm practically indistinguishable from your typical girl unless given a genital inspection and it's not only people my age that experience transition like this, I know people who transitioned intheir 30's and sometimes 40's who don't need/want anything but GRS, it's rare for people to have the "full works" done and even if it was offered to me for free I wouldn't agree to it.

I am not a "fake woman". Anyone who meets me in person will see that.

I think, too, the number is higher in reality because most men haven't been in the situation and they don't know how they'd react. If they were attracted to a particular person, their feelings on the issue might change.
