I had a hearing the other day (work related). Without going into details, the whys and wherefores, it involved a judge, two lawyers, my employer (4 people), myself and a friend.
It lasted about 5 hours, and during the ENTIRE time there was not one slip, not one "he", no giggles or smirks, absolutely nothing but total respect and professionalism.
That was just *SO* awesome.
(btw, I now LUV "UNO" candy bars...my friend gave me one about halfway thru 'cause she saw me needing some chocolate.)
(btw #2, it turned out good for me)
Excellent news, Beth, thanks for sharing! Hugs, Devlyn
(btw, giving you chocolate is what friends are for!)
Great news, Sis. I am happy foe you.

Awesome, I'm so very happy for you having experienced the same exact level of respect recently and being completely surprised by it! :D
That is good news. Really happy for you.
Good for you! Isn't the world a better place when we all respect one another. What is an "uno" candy bar? Is that just a brand name or is it just another one of those acronyms I don't know...I'm so naive.

Not a problem, Julie!
U-No is a chocolate-on-chocolate candy bar (chocolate coated outside, chocolate flavored filling inside), the most noticeable part (to me) is that the inner part sort of melts in the mouth...almost no chewing involved. Very yummy chocolate, very "airy" and light. (Although it's not "light" as in diet, it's pretty heavy in fat, 17g)
As a treat, it's awesome. (Regular sized candy bars go for about $1.10 US here)

A review of the (apparently) "west-coast only" candy bars (http://dessertreport.com/news/u-no-bar)
Great news!
I can't wait for the day when people refer to me as a guy. I mean people who don't know my situation though.
I so happy for you anyway! ;D
You go Girl!!!

That sounds yummy. Why are you hording them all on the west coast. I see they are available online. Perhaps I should buy some.
Glad to hear the good news. Meetings like that scare me big time. Glad you were treated right.
Hugs,
Maddie

Indeed. The last couple weeks I've missed several days from work due to stress and anxiety. Now that this hearing is over, most of that nonsense is gone, too.
I feel pretty good tonight, not nearly as depressed and moody as last night. Even my sinus infection is going away...

Glad to hear it. I'm taking it easy and trying to get over this chest cold thing, even though the awful mess in my house makes me wish I wasn't just sitting on the couch. I wrote a poem you might enjoy over on Cindy's Christmas thread (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,130662.msg1038037.html#msg1038037). Kind of sums up how I'm feeling right now. *hugs*
Great news ;0)
