We've had a lot of talk recently about parts of our bodies that get us down. They may be parts that remind us too much of our sex assigned at birth, parts that we fear will never be the way they were supposed to be, and parts that give us grief. So put all of that away and forget about what you don't like on your body. Tell me what you do like.
This shouldn't be a laundry list. Just name your absolute favorite body part (must be on your body :laugh:) and one runner up. Tell us a little bit about it, why you like it and whether it's new or old. Is it something you had pre-transition and still love post-transition? Has it changed it all? Is it something new, like a shiny new pair of jugs? Is it something you always had, but it's a lot better now?

You completely banned me from saying my favorite body part, something I used to hate. :P
I'm going to go with my feet then. My feet, by the views of many people, are ugly. Two of the toes on each foot have scars running them because of surgery; one foot has on scar on top and one on the bottom also from surgery; the other foot has a scar from when I was a kid and got my foot stuck in the bike wheel. So, why are these nasty things my favorite? They show a life of struggle and of triumph.
The scars, except for the bike wheel, are all there because of being paralyzed from the chin down when I was kid. The toes were permanently curved in because of residual paralysis and the scars on my left foot only are because the foot had curled up too high so it was a size smaller than my right foot. The surgeries were so my feet wouldn't hurt and so I would be able to walk better. The scars show what I have overcome in this life; they show how I overcame the paralysis, relearned to walk, and moved on with my life.
This is why my feet are my favorite part of my body, even when I have a dislike of feet.

Nothing gets my mood fixed, or puts me in a more spiritual frame of mind than listening to some incredible peice of music (this time of year, Handel's Messiah is played almost constantly on my laptop!).

My belly - because it's going away! Woot! South Beach is my buddy! I started at 280(ish) and am down to 261.8 as of this morning (even after a couple weeks of "cheating"!).
I've found out how to make my belts last longer - get rid of belly fat and make new holes in them!
I would have to say my boobs, I love having them. Second would be my legs. I have nice looking legs.

I'd say my legs. I'm an odd duck but when I was a kid I always thought men with extremely hairy legs were attractive. Now my own legs are extremely hairy and I like them. However, it is annoying sometimes because I sleep like a dreaming dog. You know when they dream they "sleep run"? Yeah, I do that and if the sheets aren't soft enough I will literally rub the hair off the side on the leg that I am sleeping on.
I think for the runner up I'd say my battle scars from surgeries related to my illness. I have one on each side that are 12 inches long from open kidney surgeries and one that goes straight down the back of my neck from spinal cord surgery. I think they'll look bad ass coupled with scars from top surgery one day after I've been bodybuilding for awhile.
Favorite: My tongue. It very long (not like Steve Tyler (is he the one I am thinking of??)) and pointy. I like licking things ;) and a pointy tongue is useful at eating certain foods (like pushing the center of a mini peanut butter cup out).
Runner Up: My hands. They're very useful.

My favorite part - my ass.
One part genetics, one part a few thousand miles jogged over the years (no exaggeration, I used to be an obsessive runner). My ass is shapely and very feminine, and rolls nice into the elegant swoop of my back .
Runner up - my hips. Purely genetics, I've been blessed with an hour glass figure, my hips are the ticket, in conjunction with my ass.
What it means to me- I believe the two go a very long way to helping me pass. I've been asked on a few occasions where I got my curves, by ciswoman that were aware of me (and were a lil' envious ;) ). It means a great deal to me to see a classic woman's shape in the mirror .
Is it old or new or both - actually, old. I grew breasts and became hippie during puberty, but once I coupled HRT with physical fitness my shape just exploded.

They're brown and not remotely attractive, at least that's what I thought. To me, they weren't expressive and they were a part of the reason I really hated how I looked. First I was female, but then I had to have some gross colored eyes and boring colored hair.
But, I grew up. I hit 21 or so and I was like "I'm a guy". And I have my dad's coloring. My dad's coloring. It hit me that, when I cut off my hair, I looked like my dad when I was 16. My eye shape was different obviously, but the coloring was the same. It was an amazing feeling to me to know that I resembled my dad, and that I showed the Cherokee ancestry quite well in my coloring even if it was far back. Me, this horrible looking person in my opinion, was able to show a combination of features that run on both sides of my family and I was able to show the coloring of a tribe that I felt very close to without being a part of.
It's not all that impressive of a story, but it's there non-the-less and I quite enjoy my eyes now.

Congratulations to you. The beach body programs definitely work.
If you want creative, I'll get creative! Excluding the obvious brain, heart, or other vital organs, my favorite body part is my iliopsoas muscle, without which I would be unable to walk, sit, stand, or run. :P
My runner up would have to be Celery's favorite: my ass! Sprinting, bike riding, gymnastics and vinyasa yoga gave me a very huge butt! Plus, if I ever want walnuts, I can crack them in my crack. :P
My eyes and eyelashes. I remember when I was in fourth grade the teacher was helping me with something and she said "you have the prettiest eyes and such nice eyelashes, you would make such a pretty girl." Little did she know what was going on inside of me.
My boobs. I love having them and watching them come in. Every time something rubs against them or I see them, it reminds me of my progress.
My butt/hips. I've been naturally blessed with a curvy bottom. When I was a teenager I was out shopping with a freind and his mom and she said "oh my god, you have a butt like a black girl" it was a bit embarrassing but it made me happy.
My mouth. Runner up: my mouth! I do everything with it, but mostly I just yak yakkity yak! I love eating, too. It's old, but runs fine. Hugs, Devlyn
I have been thinking, and a part of me wants to say there is nothing since you took away my eyes...lol.. Then I sat and thought.
First pick: My jaw. It gave me so much grief growing up. Not only because I have TMJ issues, but because it is so square and strong.
I refused to accept any picture of me straight on profile.
I hated how I love how it looked. I struggled a lot with my inner feelings and how I was brought up to believe I should be.
Now that I've come to terms with the fact that I am a man?
OMG, I love it. Strong, proud, just waiting to become chiseled and catch up with my cheek bones.
Runner up: My feet. Also another bane of my existence until my acceptance of the male that I am.
I mean, really, what 5"3 1/2' female walks around with 10W feet? Now? Now I'm just a short guy with average feet. And I can not only accept that...I love it. They help me pass. No special ordering shoes here, good old 8W here in men's.
I like my eyes, they're big and expressive.
#1...My bewbies. I love learning how they are getting in the way of things now, how they feel when I'm massaging them, and when they jiggle going down stairs. Rolling over in bed now involves repositioning things, because they will stop me from turning.
#2...My hands/forearms. I always thought they were manly looking, but since transitioning I made it a point to compare other men's hands (and women's), and except for the really dainty china-doll type women, my hands are as good as or even better than many women's!
I have 4 points on my body where muscles never developed, but the nerves to run them did. Touching those points feels amazing. Trans women around here keep assuming I will want reconstructive boob blah in order to even myself out - but weirdly, since I began transitioning, I delight in my asymmetry. It's like I'm two people who finally got married.
Oh, and on a less surreal note, I like my dimples :).

k then since i cnt say eyes even tho they r a very beautifu greyish blue...my fav part wouldd b my ass bc its not 2 big even tho my gf says its non existant. but hey i say its nice even tho i went from 155 poundds 2 238 poundds i iddnt gin weight there at all which my gf foun fasinatin lol.

the middle toe on my left foot. Its just stunning and helps to keep the toes on either side from fighting. I've always had it that I can recall.
second favorite part would be my tummy. Its got the right amount of pudginess to the lower part of it and a decent looking belly button in the middle of it. my dog loves to use it a pillow too.
My arms, even though other people would argue that my eyes are the best thing about me.
I've been told I have gorgeous eyes by total strangers twice in the past week.
I'm really having to think about this ...
I honestly think I'll have to go with eyes as #1. People always comment that I have really nice eyes. And I'm totally ok with my eyes.
As a runner up, maybe my shoulders. They seem to have gotten bigger from working out so that makes me happy.

My best parts, bar none:
1) My brain. It works. It doesn't work like the brain of anyone I've ever known, but it does things like nobody's business. It also happens to be the part of me that was a girl, then a woman, long before the rest of me got with the project-- and it was kind enough to bring all the other parts along for the ride, and not be bitter, angry, or snide. Thank you Brain! YOU DA BEST. GREY MATTERS! BRAWN SHATTERS.
2) My heart chakra. If it wasn't for you, I'd have been hiding in intellect, or floating off in some spiritual adventure to lala land or the funny farm. You keep me grounded because you feel EVERYTHING and love EVERYONE. Thank you heart chakra. Me and all the other parts owe you big time. Group hug for heart chakra.
Nothing stands out all that much for me, but I'll say my shoulders. As a "girl" I always gave myself grief over them. You're too wide, you never fit into shirts or dresses properly! Well, now that I've accepted my life as a man, men's shirts fit me quite well, and my frame is much more masculine and I've learned to love it. It was actually kind of a vice-versa with my rear, looked very nice for a female, but for a male that is a whole other story. :P
Second would have to be my nose, because even though it's big and wide it makes me look more like my dad, and I really like that.
My favorite body part is my chest. Because I waited so long for a flat chest, to be able to run freely and not worry about it, to feel rain on my chest etc. And I have decent pec muscles that I can actually see now. And it's hairy ;D It's been 3 years since surgery and I still feel grateful every single day. I don't think I'll ever get over the happiness that having a male chest brings me.
Second favorite part is my hands because they're perfect. They're extremely feminine but it doesn't bother me because they're legitimately the most beautiful hands I've ever seen.
My favorite are my legs. I have nice, long, athletic legs. I did not like them before transition because they were covered in horrible hair. Now that they have no hair they are SEXY!
My second favorite are my boobs. They come up second because they still need to grow more ;D
My favourite part is my brain. It's the only part of me that never lets me down. It got me a degree and a house deposit and it keeps me employed. My brain and I have a lot of fun together.
The runner up is my liver, for outstanding achievements in the field of alcohol processing. That liver is a champ.
I have a fairly versatile and healthy body, and I am satisfied with this as a whole.
I love my legs and the reason I love them is because they are long, slender but shapely. I find this odd because I'm six foot and hate being that tall....but still I love my legs.
I like my muscles, especially the ones I can see. They make me fitter and more boyish. They are very new. Yay for muscles.
The runner up is my stomach. I really like it (since the muscles are showing). This is a very new feeling, since it used to be the body part I absolutely hated.
My lips, they are pretty and soft and lots of my favourite things involve them.
And the runner up would be my fingers because they are pretty and slender and lots of my favourite things involve them.

I'm surprised at the answer to this question.
Right now my favorite is my hands. I've have long nails with glossy nail enamel and it's the only part of my body that looks feminine. That will probably change as my hair grows long and I get used to shaving everywhere, but for now, gotta be my hands.
Probably my eyelashes. They're long and fluttery without me having to lift a finger to do anything to them, which is nice.
Without my brain I cannot appreciate my hands. Without my hands I cannot appreciate the music they create carefully caressing the ivories. Without the music I shudder to think.
I love my little tiny waist! Since I began tightlacing corsets 6 months ago, I've achieved an incredible hourglass figure that makes my DD boobs look ginormous and my bubble shaped butt bootylicious! I love it!
My runner up would be my beautiful waist length hair with pink, purple and blue streaks in it. I have off-the-hook fun styling, curling, brushing and playing with my long silky hair. Between the fabulous colors, the super femme length, and the Chrissy Hines bangs that brush my eyelashes, I feel like a regular human Barbie Doll!

I'm loving my feet lately. I used to be a size ten in men's shoes and I can now fit in a women's ten.
first off, I wanted to say, I love the idea of this topic because I am just starting to feel alot more comfortable with some things about my body and looks that I never thought id ever be happy with so here is my favorite part of my body. :)
I'd have to say its my belly, I felt with eating disorders from anorexia to bulimia through out most of my younger years starting around age 12 and had battles on and off into my early 20s. There are days I still struggle some days with feeling down about my weight but lately I'm kind of starting to like my belly alot more :) its rather roundish still but strongly enough I sorta like it. We all come in different shapes and sizes and my belly is just as cute now as it was when it was flat as a pancake ;D
Another one of my favorites has to be my immune system. I haven't been sick since I was 5! :eusa_dance:
I like my feet! I'm an avid barefooter; I've walked barefoot a lot my entire life, but always thought I had to wear shoes in stores and things, but now that I've recently discovered I only really have to wear shoes at school, I've ditched them everywhere but there. I've been thickening the skin on my soles, and I can walk for quite a while on solid concrete with no pain now. It's awesome being able to feel the ground! :D Anyway, I like my feet because they're about the perfect size for me (I wear a men's 10-10 1/2), and my toes are the perfect length, and I like the fact that my pinkie toes are kind of pointed. My feet are also probably the only part of my body that are not prone to many ailments as long as I don't wear shoes--I don't get many blisters or anything.
I'm almost a little bit embarrassed to admit my runner up but here we go--I have lots of freckles (I even have one on the palm of my hand!), and when I was a kid I had one on my chest, about 2 or 3 inches away from my right armpit. It's one of the things that makes it easier for me to remember what it was like to have a flat chest (I unfortunately hit puberty pretty early and can hardly remember what it was like before that). It's migrated onto my boob now, which I dislike, and I've never really liked having freckles, but I've always been fond of that particular one, and I hope I can keep it when I have chest surgery. :P
