Title: 3rd times the charm...especially for a charmed one.
Post by: Shawn Sunshine on December 08, 2012, 09:19:37 PM
Just wanted to let everyone here know that I will be moving back to San Francisco in about 4-6 months, and if you remember I had just left there 3 months ago and had a purge and got scared and disgusted and depressed and gave up. I was and still am having a spiritual crisis over making some sort of transformation. Its a very hard pill to swallow, going all the way from conservative christian and not wanting to be a part of anything LGBT , to all of the sudden a liberal christian who found out they were intersex and realized they were transgender and wanted to do something about it. I have had alot of inner struggle and well this will be the 3rd time in my life (and hopefully charmed) that I will seek out making the leap from mtf.

I was almost there and it just took a few bad things that happened (especially money problems and housing) that got in the way, not to mention a letter from my brother pleading with me in tears not to pursue this and my mom doing her usual guilt trip thing she does with me.

Anyways please pray for me that I can actually make this journey.

How are you able to move so easily?

It was not that expensive to move back to Texas, I don't have much stuff at all. When I moved I took a plane there with just 3 bags. Came Back with 2 bags (i had given most of my clothes away)  It cost $130-200 to fly on Southwest. I am going to stay here and save more money this time so i can come up with the deposit on an apartment in Oakland this time. Oakland seems to have better deals on rent.

My destiny is there, I have a purpose and a reason, I am going to start a support group called Colorful Christians, a LGBTQQI weekly support meeting and hopefully it will be in Alameda,CA at the UCC Church I was going to there. My goal is to have a place that all of God's extravagant people under the rainbow have a place to learn how to cope with being Christian and the way they were born. My other goal is to get other Christians to visit the groups once a month (like family or friends) who don't understand how you can be both. I add the QQI because those folks need a voice as well and I think it is a good idea to have an all inclusive group like that.

And indecently I love all of the Bay Area, so much more than I like Texas

You seem to have finally found peace between your religious beliefs and your identity. I'm very happy for you :)

The bay area is beautiful. My absolute favorite place that I've ever lived. Wish I could have afforded to stay there. Good luck to you.
