Title: Lack of depth
Post by: tonia on December 13, 2012, 03:45:04 AM
Hello everyone, I had my SRS 2.5 moths ago. I had penile inversion, my penis was around 5.5 inches (14cm). Now I have a depth of around 3.5 inches (9cm). I'm trying to get a bit more depth with a 4.7inches (12cm) vibrator. I hope I will get a bit more depth cause I believe there is swelling inside.... I put a pillow under my vibrator and I sit gently over it. I feel more pressure this way compare to pressing  the vibrator by my hand. It's not painful just pressure.

I had sex with my boyfriend around 4 times so far and he told me that it's not so pleasant cause he does not get inside enough and the pressure from my vagina makes his penis loose its erection due to the lack of blood flow...

Hi Tonia,

I may be a bit conservative in my thinking, but I would have thought having sex so soon would be a bit early in the recovery process. But I guess it's an individual thing, depending on your recovery.

I'm also lead to believe a vibrator is OK to use occasionally, but not as your primary dilation device.

As a matter of interest, what was your depth on your very first dilation? Generally it forms a rule of what you should be post swelling.

Be safe, well and happy
Lotsa huggs

My doc said that it is fine to have sex after two months post op. I do not know exactly my depth of first dilator, at first I was thinking it was 12cm but I was wrong cause I had a lot of swelling around.

I have about 13-14 cm (5-5.5 inch) in depth which is nice and not a problem.

The vaginal canal though is somewhat narrow. I have a set of 5 dilators (Amielle Comfort set). The one with 3 cm in diameter (1.2 inch) fits in but I need some time to get it inside. Seems the vaginal skin retracts over the course of the day.

I'm a bit afraid of getting up to the 3.5 cm / 1.35 inch model.  :-\

For the first couple of years after my surgery I was very careful to note the depth with my dilators both immediately after surgery and for months afterwards. It was difficult to keep the depth going just right but its not impossible. I used to dilate like a rocket scientist in those early days :)
