Not exactly sure...had a rough night, didn't feel well. Began peeing bright red blood with clots this morn. Spent the whole day in the ER.

I have a severe kidney infection and something is wrong with the right adrenal gland.
They put me on Cipro and said I have to take it for 4 - 5 WEEKS and see a specialist.

I don't feel good at all.

Thanks...I had a long night. I feel like hell.

I too hope they find out whats wrong and take care of it, but in this land of no insurance I am a bit trapped as to seeing a specialist.

Hopefully the Cipro will do it's thing.

If not better by later today, PLEASE go back to the ER.  It might be viral and not bacterial, if it is even an infection.  In which case the Cipro will do nothing.

Take care and get better.

Oh you poor thing!  You must have felt awful and then to see that when you went to the bathroom?  I would have passed out right there.

Please don't skimp on going to the doctor, the money you save isn't worth not going.  Really!  It ain't!!

(gentle) hugs & smiles and wishes for, "Eine Gute Besserung"

I think the cipro is making me feel worse not better....uuuuhhhhgggghhhh.
It is really hot here and I am not supposed to be in excessive heat so that certainly isnt helping. Nothing tastes good at all. I feel like crap and want to whine.... :(

Oh geez, I missed this thread 'till now!!!

You poor thing... most antibiotics are awful on the stomach and stuff, and will make you feel sick and nasty. BUT, in the end, it oughta help ya. But ya gotta stick with it!

My wife is here saying, "Tell her to eat yogurt while she's taking that! And drink a lot! Especially cranberry juice."

Crazy. I just learned about the importance of yogurt with antibiotics about 2 months ago when I read Feinberg's 'stone Butch Blues'. Having good fluids is important too.
Maybe one of us should stop by TWC's house and make sure she follows the regimen. And whoever goes will need to try out those cookies first to be sure that they are up to snuff.

Get well soon,

Rebecca

I am sooooooooooo tired of Cranberry juice (in all its varieties). I drink the stuff everyday (yes even before this)....I really really want a glass of ice cold milk with Ovaltine, but noooooooooooooooooo doctor says no milk for me.... * foot stomping pout*

I'm not sure, but I think there is a medicated powder that might help prevent the yeast infection. Hopefully, an actual doctor could advise you with more certainty.

Love,

Rebecca

I think I am feeling better, but the cipro is kicking my butt big time. Everytime I take it I feel like I am going to throw up and pass out for hours. The when I start to feel close to ok it is time to take another one for another round of bleh.
Thanks for the cookies Kristi.
