Title: Breast Friday night ever
Post by: nicki on December 14, 2012, 05:28:21 PM
Hi All,

Really needed to share my thoughts, hope you don't mind.

After a 25 year absence I spent my first Friday night en femme and I had such a wonderful evening. Aided by a new wardrobe courtesy of my current favourite store, Target, and some amazing breast forms that had just arrived in the mail I glammed up for dinner at home with my SO. Everything felt so right and normal.

I have never worn breast forms before but within 5 minutes they felt like they had always been there. The clothes which I tried on previously without them were now hanging properly and looked much more natural and feminine. I have no hair or make up yet so I'm know where near ready to venture out into the big wide world but I can start to see the real me emerge again, yay!

I gained a lot of confidence and belief in my recent decision to work towards transitioning. One of the reasons that I repressed my true self for so long was that I could not imagine my self looking anything other than a fat balding fella in a dress! Last night showed me that I can look (and feel) feminine and pretty, (I just need to lose a little more weight!). I actually did something my male persona would never do, I wept with joy at the realisation that I can do this. :)

My only problem now is that sitting here typing this whilst wearing a pretty flared skirt and tank top, (braless woo hoo!), I don't want to change back to drab, but I'm afraid I have to as I need to mow the lawns etc and the neighbours don't know about me yet. Ho hum.

Thanks for listening.

Hugs

Nicki xxx

Arn't breast forms just the best? I love putting my on in the morning and I hate having to take them off for work, going out or bedtime. It sounds like you had a lot of fun Yesterday, I hope we get to hear more and more stories of you having fun dressed up. Don't you just wish you had some sort of time machine or universal remote so you didn't have to take off all your clothes and still got your chorse done? DX

Yes they are great, I'm absolutely loving them. I couldn't resist and slept in them as well with a wireless bra to keep them snug. I know you aren't supposed to but my brain seems to know they are there while I'm asleep and stops me moving around too much. So far so good anyway.

Unfortunately once again I have to get into boy mode to go to the mall for a hair cut and a little bit of my new found passion, "retail therapy". Some new earrings are called for  ;)

I tried sleeping in my falsies once, but I was so worried about breaking them that I didn't try for very long. TT^TT

Earrings? I don't have my ears pierced, my ears are too small for that, but I usually go and buy myself some nail polish and just wear it on my toe nails. <3 My colors are limited but...

If you don't sleep on your belly (which you shouldn't, anyway, you will suffer from back pain after a few decades — trust me, I went through that :-P ), the breastforms should hold well, even sleeping on your side, and not break/rip, specially when protected inside a good, well-fit bra.

This is an information I got from a representative of Amoena (http://www.amoena.com/). They do prosthetic breastforms for women who had to surgically remove their breasts due to breast cancer, and, as such, they truly have a lot of experience with people "constantly wearing" their breastforms. Of course they're very friendly (and discreet!) with the CD community and, as such, I now always shop with them (physically; getting them fitted is something best left to an expert). Obviously I had to ask about sleeping in them. While they don't recommend it — probably because they don't want to get sued if the breastforms do, indeed, break or rip if you are really careless about it — they are well aware of thousands of happy customers who sleep in them all the time without a glitch.

I'm superstitious and seldom sleep in them, though, although I've done so occasionally; I just love the extra weight on top of my chest :) But if all else fails, slipping into a well-padded B-cup bra is very pleasant as well (the brain, as you so well noticed, will "fill in the details", "knowing" that something "ought" to be there), and at least I won't worry about any damage to my breastforms...
