Any females here experience height loss on hrt?
Yep. From 5'5 3/4" to 5'3 1/4"
OMG that is amazing!
Imagine my surprise when I go without seeing my sister for 5 years and all of a sudden I'm shorter than she is... lol
So I'm not the only one! Not sure if it's HRT or middle age (I'm 55) I was 6'4" went to 6'3" a few years ago and when I was measured at the Doctors on Wednesday am now 6"1half inches.I posted in the health section but got no replies. I've been told it was nothing to worry about but will be checked for osteoporosis.Been on HRT coming up to 23 years and post op 18 years

only if you have a debilitating back issue or have bone loss from taking HRT (which happens often)
Never saw any papers to prove heightloss. Seen people here say it but I never seen any papers or proof on it. Never seen anyone lose height either.
Also, middle age people lose height...not because of HRT but because of calcium and bone loss through Osteo, etc.
It's definitely not age in my case... I'm 30 lol!
But I've lost almost all of the cushion in the bottom of my feet, my back archs naturally now (and I can't get it completely straight like I used to be able to) and I think that's due to shortening of ligaments. Lots of MtFs here have claimed to experience an inch or two of height loss.
Age can be a cause for height loss, I was 5'9 1/2", but now I'm (68) down to 5' 9" (a whole 1/2"), now my sister (73) on the other hand has scoliosis (or something like that) and has lost several inches.

you should get it checked tho. It's not normal to lose height on HRT.
Spiro can kill your bone density levels big time.
Honestly, I would get that checked with your doctor.
Just some info: some of the sites that hosts medical HRT studies stated if you experience heightloss to see your doctor right away. Def not normal or part of the HRT result list.
I lost height way before HRT. I have no clue what happened. When I was 16 years old I was 5'4", now I'm 22 years old and only 5'. My license still says 5'4", but it also still says I'm male.
Yes I have lost 1 1/2 inches. I am now on Vitamin D tablets despite plenty of sun. Perhaps HRT caused this
I haven't lost height on HRT (two years), and I'm actually pretty thankful for this fact. Losing height sounds pretty unhealthy, and being taller is advantageous in a number of ways.
