Title: HRT regimen oops
Post by: faye on January 05, 2013, 10:43:41 PM
Hi everyone,

I have a question about HRT and my regimen I follow.

I use injectables every other week and the predicament I'm in is that my insurance doesn't kick in for another week so all of my HRT and materials aren't covered until next week.

So I'm forced to miss this weeks injection.

I'm wondering if this is really bad or if I'm overreacting that i missed this week.

I've been on hrt for a little over 11 months.  thanks for any help.

(on a side note, I have been getting these weird red circle spots on my skin and a irritating rash that sort of burns on my hand/arm, has anyone ever had symptoms like this before hrt related or otherwise? it might be from contact with something when i go running.  http://i46.tinypic.com/hv2w0l.jpg (http://i46.tinypic.com/hv2w0l.jpg))

I also self inject but weekly and I miss injections all the time with no adverse physical effects. My problem is that my refill for needles don't match the refill for estrogen, so I forget and since it's only once a week sometimes it's 3 weeks before I remember and have my prescriptions refilled. I've been doing injections for 12 years and don't notice physical changes other than becoming lethargic. I like doing my injections on a Monday morning when I am getting ready for work. It's my day off from the gym so I don't worry about having a band aid on one of my legs, that's where I inject. My endo has told me a few times about switching to a different day when I miss, but I don't because Monday works better for me :)
