Its been five months since I started HRT. I weighed 93lbs at the start of HRT. I haven't really gained much weight--I'm still just 96lbs. But I've gained a lot of belly fat. I'm a little bit worried about it. Is belly fat pretty normal for being on hormones? Its a little disheartening cause my belly sticks out more than my breasts. It's especially noticeable after I eat a meal--then I look pregnant. Has anyone else experienced a sudden increase in belly fat? Will it sort of spread out to other places after a while? Any ideas for what I should do? I don't want to diet or anything because I'm actually wanting to have a little more fat in places, I would just prefer it if it wasn't all in my belly.
I've experienced a very similar thing.
I think it's pretty normal. It's not that the belly is big so much as it is the rest of me is small. I'm also about 100lbs.
Lower belly fat (at or below the belly button) is very typical on women. It's in the waist (narrow part just below the ribcage) that you shouldn't gain weight at.
