So this young lady has been in the new A LOT of the last 24hrs. I guess she is the girlfriend of Alabama QB and is Miss Alabama. So many people have said that she is drop dead gorgeous and I agree. Looking at her facial structure made me smile. I think she has a very "boyish" jaw. This is proof that no woman is a-like and there is beauty in every facial shape, and structure. So love yourself; Your beautiful. :)

Here is an interesting comparison, between a frequent visitor of this site, called Persian Square jawed beauty, and the profile of Vin Diesel, as charted in our theory page.
Square jawed profile (Persian Square jawed beauty):
B-C line, the jaw plane, is straight, almost parallel to the floor.
There is a notable A-B distance. A-B is perpendicular to the floor.
B is an angle. The smaller the angle, the squarer the jaw. Angle is 90 degrees on very square jawed women
Chin and cheekbones are often projecting
Skin under jaw is very tight. Double chin is rare or will appear at a later age.
Mandible is often heavily muscular and strong
Sexy !!
Non square jawed profile (Actor Vin Diesel):
No notable angle at B. No notable A-B line. You could almost draw a line from the ear lob right to the chin point.
B-C is curve.
Chin and cheekbones are less projecting.
Mandible bone is thinner, less muscular.
More prone to double chin.
It's amazing how Persian Square jawed beauty fits our square jaw chart. We elaborated this chart on our theory page, before ever seeing a picture of Persian.
Do you see our point now? Here is a picture of a young woman with a super square jaw that forms almost a perfect 90 degrees angle, who still look infinitely more feminine than a muscle guy with a non square jaw.
Who could affirm that Persian Square jaw having more testosterone than Vin Diesel is the reason of her squarer jaw ?
It is evident, in this example that androgenic hormones have nothing to do with squareness of jaw and jaw plane inclination. Persian square jawed beauty has good genetic information that allowed her to develop a square jaw that is simply an evidence of her very efficient bite force capabilities.
This site goes on to talk about how a square is not necessarily masculine, but of course there are other factors too that give off masculine features that are hormonal.

I don't really understand? Most girls have at least 1 boyish feature, that is waaay different than having a lot of them. That girl just happens to have a square face shape. I know you are trying to be positive but at the end of the day it doesn't matter if you think someone should pass if the reality is that they don't.
I personally have never had to worry about these things, but a lot of people here do get clocked on a regular basis and I bet they would tell you it's not as easy as just being confident or something if the appearance isn't there.
Just my opinion :)
Well I don't pass yet but I am having fun in this thread and I think that's enough of a reason for it to continue :)
Just my opinion.

Ofc, just saying, you gotta be realistic too. But Brooke Shields is actually a good example.
Don't worry I am staying in reality I know I won't just pass thanks to this thread :P still fun tho :)
This is a bad pic because it's all blurry but you can see my ridiculously sexy jawline lol. Having a square jawline is by no means a masculine trait however even as a guy I was getting flattering comments about my jawline and now as a woman it's the same thing so I'm guessing it's in a happy middle.

I think this is a great topic, I used to seek out pictures of women with certain masculine features for my "don't worry, you will pass" pep talks. Especially my broad shoulders and height, really get dysphoric about those and the only examples of those 2 are athletes (shoulders) and models (height), which aren't "typical" women anyway.
It's a good confidence booster nonetheless, helps break the cycle of (usually irrational) self loathing, once we realise that not all women are "typical"!
I think pretty & manicured feet and hands are more important than face looks.
good dress sense and quality lingerie all make up for a not so fem face.
And lets not forget a great personality and honest traits steal the show.
but who am i to say, i'm not trying to be a woman. but thats what interests my being. :-*
there's nothing wrong with any of these ciswomen, as far as i am concerned masculine features are attractive on a woman to me.
There is nothing inherently wrong with the variety of human faces in general.

I may be the only one, but I feel like this thread is just trying to point out what's wrong with various cis women you post to make yourself feel better. Doesn't leave me with a good feeling.
just sayin'
That is entirely a matter of perspective.
I don't think everyone is saying they look bad or that it's wrong. On the contrary, I for one, am highlighting that beautiful women come in all shapes and sizes and is a spectrum of masculinity and femininity.
A ciswoman having masculine features is no less wrong than a cisman having feminine features, only because we hate masculine features we see it as negative. Or vice versa.
For me it's encouraging, obviously it's a lot more than a single thing that makes someone passable or not, to be honest IT'S A LOT of things and usually not just physical but you have to be realistic nonetheless.
These ciswomen aren't typical, that's the point, to learn to accept that it's OK to not be typical and you can be much happier with yourself.

If you read the posts you will see the main thing said is she is still pretty with boyish features.
A square face is one of the common face types of women. I've got a square face and certainly never had any problems. I've used the site below to help choose a hairstyle when I went back to short hair. Just do a Google on all the fashion sites around. Millions of them.
http://www.short-hair-style.com/hair-styles-for-square-faces.html (http://www.short-hair-style.com/hair-styles-for-square-faces.html)
Also, an inverted triangle body type is a common body shape for women for those worried about broad shoulders, narrow hips.
http://www.shopyourshape.com/body-shapes/invertedtriangle-body-shape.html (http://www.shopyourshape.com/body-shapes/invertedtriangle-body-shape.html)

Haha! When we were watching the game I rewound to her first camera shot and creepy ole Brent was going on and on about her beauty and my wife and I commented on her "boyish" facial structure. Her hands are similar with long hands and fingers too. I'm tall, skinny and a brunette with a jaw line and face like hers but with enough femme features i could pull it off and would probably end up looking something like her (not saying as beautiful, though several that have seen me say I'm pretty) when I transition.
Needless to say, I was super encouraged!

This thread gave me confidence. I've been having problems with the person at the other side of the mirror lately, and seeing beautyful ciswomen in the masculine spectrum of facial and body proportions helps me.
Maybe I'm just superficial, but passing is an important aspect of transition for me.

Passing
is an important part of transition, and while it is a superficial pursuit, it is certainly not a trivial one. It severely impacts our confidence, self-esteem, and happiness when we don't pass. Not passing also makes daily life less safe in that we are more vulnerable to discrimination, bullying, and violence when people can tell that we're trans.
It's important to not let thoughts of passing and not passing consume you, but to think passing is or should be a small factor is to not give it the emphasis that it deserves.
And yeah, the jaw is usually not a huge factor in passing. The forehead, nose, and chin have more impact on whether a person is perceived as male or female. Jaws come in all sizes, even (or especially) on women, but foreheads and chins are less varied, and while noses are probably as variable as jaws, they are in the centre of the face as opposed to the back and sides. Noses affect the balance of a face more than jaws do.
It is always good to be reminded of the natural variation of the female face and its features.

I hate to be a party pooper, and, please, don't get me wrong, I have nothing against this thread (plus reading a thread is just like watching a TV show: if you don't like it just change the channel), but: are we really defining womanhood by a certain body part?
It's like this apparent obsession with breast size and b cups, c cups, etc. A c cup won't make you more of a woman, and a double a won't make you any less. Women come in all different shapes and sizes. Your inside determines who you are: hormones, SRS, FFS will only make your looks confirm more to the accepted societal standards, and will also very likely help your inside show through, but they won't change your inside.
About the square jaw thing: I don't see how that would be a masculine trait: many women have it. And many of these "squared jawed" women are considered both beautiful and attractive.
Once again, nothing against this interesting thread.
Andrea
PS Mauresmo is a very well known butch lesbian who does not really associate with the traditional female world
I don't know if anyone watches The Real Housewives of NY but if you do then you know Heather. She's pretty but she is probably the most masculine looking woman I've seen & she's a very confident, successful woman, mother & wife. But honestly if someone told me she was Trans I wouldn't doubt them at all.

I don't think any of us were suggesting it would. Ciswomen also experience their own forms of dysphoria when it comes to appearance. Part of me would really like to look like Ginnifer Goodwin, but even if I had trasitioned at age 10, that's was not likely to happen. And it is the wiser choice to focus on inner beauty... at least it's something most of us will need to do to some degree, especially late bloomers like myself. I'm really becoming a great admirer of Lana Wachowski's look, for instance. And maybe some of this comes from appreciating my son's focus, even though he's young enough that, with basic FTM transition assists (top surgery and T) he could become very "passable" in a few years. Yet that doesn't really seem to be a central goal for him, and not nearly one that as many people are now focussed on, compared to how these conversations tended to go, say, 15 or 20 years ago, when I first was entering into them.
Still, I think we all have our dreams and fantasies, and sometimes we do express them. Try not to let it become something that's about you, because most of the time it isn't.
Much of my own fixation on breast size has to do with my father and his Welsh background. I have a lot of bras in one range of sizes that I hope may be wearable once I've developed. Chances are probably tiny that will happen, but I did base the size on my sense of what seemed likely. Granted, it was more based on what would have been probable if I had entered HRT 10 years ago or earlier.
A square jaw isn't really a sign of masculinity or high testosterone; Asian men tend to have the squarest jaws yet the lowest T, while African men tend to have shapeless jaw lines but highest T (more masculine).
Testosterone does increase bone growth however, so a square jaw which is BIG can be labelled as "masculine", just like a large chin, long face, neanderthal forehead and so on. If you look at female models you'll notice how most of them have well defined jaws. The midface length is a better indicator whether someone might be trans.
What's the "mid face length"? Can you please explain/elaborate?
Thanks! :-)
Andrea
Masculinity/androgyny isn't uncommon in the modelling world - in fact I don't often see many girly looking curvy women as models (although I think there should be a more diverse range) - the use of the "masculine eyebrow" on an andro-ish face as a trend for example:

One of the most masculine women I've seen - Gertrude Stein (younger)

and Gertrude Stein older - could easily be taken for an old man here.

Another woman with masculine features, but a striking beauty
