I think I'm between Bowers, McGinn or Meltzer but I'm finding it to hard find really good information about their recent results and also whether they take insurance.
I have CIGNA and I think it's covered so I would like to find someone that takes that. I think Meltzer and Bowers does but I'm not sure if I'll really know without filling out paperwork.
Also would be great to find out what people think about the overall experience and results.
Looking for recent information on McGinn and or Bowers myself. I was considering Suporn but decided to keep the surgery stateside in case of complications. So here is a bump and hoping someone can chime in :)

Marci Bowers had some issues in the past because of a relationship problem. Currently, she is rated 3 out of 5 stars on vitals.com
Christine McGinn was rated 4 out of 5 and 5 out of 5 on vitals.com
As of today, McGinn and Bowers accepts insurance. Meltzer does not.

A friend of mine just got back before Christmas after her SRS. She said that she was pleased with Dr. Bowers' work. And if I were to have SRS, I would go with her too. My friend works for Cummins, and she had about $100,000 worth of work done, not just SRS. She said her copay was $1800. I so want to go work for them *sigh*

You really can't make blanket statements like this, because the employer, not the insurance company dictates what will or will not be covered. Employees of Disney (theme parks, tv companies, et al) have Cigna and it covers their SRS surgery at in-network providers. So, it depends on your employer mostly.
There's a list posted somewhere on this site listing which companies do cover SRS for their employees.
This isn't a "blanket statement,' rather a simple FACT that I have CIGNA and these services are not covered. If someone else has CIGNA and these services are covered I am truly envious.
On to stuff that is more fun, why oh why did I join this forum and post? It's always the same crap, and now I think I'll delete my account and move on to more pressing matters in my life and leave all of you to yours.

If you are an employer you can have CIGNA cover anything under the sun as long as the company pays for the coverages.'
Your company has elected not to pay for those charges,....hence, no coverage.

I don't think there will be any issues going overseas. I have been out of the states twice for surgery (Montreal and Thailand) and each time had no problems whatsoever. Back in those days, I couldn't even have medical coverage if I left the country for elective surgery. I'm still here :). Medical tourism is big business and even with PPACA (obamacare) that wll still continue unabated, especially after the ridiculously primitive free government coverage starts kicking in.
