Okay, I'll start.
In no particular order:
1. Playing with my hair.
2. Wearing whatever I want.
3. Saying and doing whatever I feel like without being called a pervert.
4. Being called beautiful.
5. Being treated special.
6. Soft smooth skin.
7. Being hairless.
8. Showing emotion.
9. Being called 'Daddy's little girl.' (yeah, I know, but I love my dad and he still says it and it brings tears to my eyes.)
10. MEN!
There are more and I'll add them as they come to mind.
Please share the things you like about being female. I want to hear from women, androgynes, crossdressers - anyone female or who expresses their feminine side. Ftms, if there is anything you enjoyed about being female, please post it.
Looking forward to your posts!

I think the only thing that has changed to a negative for me is being viewed with suspicion by women and being unable to talk to children without someone thinking I'm a perv.
The rest far outweighs that though, and now that I'm used to it, I just don't put myself in situations where someone feels at risk from me.
Dennis
Talking for the sake of talking.
Being appreciated for being rather than for doing. (A man seems to be the sum of his actions, but a woman can do so much more)
Feeling playful and cute.
Feeling romantic and dreamy and silly.
All the bits that are more than linear utility, traditional masculinity seems to be about the things that are about practical survival, whilst traditional femininity seems to be about all the things that make life worth living,
There is a power in being a woman that I cannot explain. I would not want to be anything else.
A woman is soft yet strong, she has the ability to think with reason, but also to dream with wonder.

Oh yeah? Well I can think with two different body parts (albeit not at the same time) ;)

Yeah. I don't feel that in me, but I surely admire it in women. They are strong. Amazingly so.
I'm pretty much with Dennis on the question, though. The only thing I like about being female is being accepted without fear by women, and being recognized as the basically gentle harmless thing that I am by more or less everybody. I sometimes wonder how badly my various (not bad at all) encounters with police would have gone if I really appeared male.

~smile~ in other words, everything about us.
I am a woman
I am woman hear me well,
I'm as talented as hell.
When you see me pass
I'm not travelling second class
'Cause I am woman.
I can hit a golf ball
long and straight
then toss a gourmet dinner
upon your plate,
pound my gavel in a court
hand out justice where it's sought
or head a giant corporation,
with wit and inspritation.
Yes I am woman hear me well
I'm as talented as hell
When you see me pass
I'm not trevelling second class,
'Cause I am woman.
I can hold a baby to my breast
and debate loudly with the best,
gently wipe away a tear,
and patch any hole that may appear,
with a hammer nail and spanner
convert a house into a manor,
to a heart that's bent and broken,
heal with words so softly spoken.
yes I am woman hear me well
I'm as talented as hell
When you see me pass
I not travelling second class
"Cause I am woman.
I can mingle with the best,
pass any kind of test,
give birth with the kind of ease
that would bring man down to his knees,
I can knit and sew and mend,
design tall builings end to end,
with a minimum of pain,
remove a tumour from a brain.
Yes I am woman hear me well
I'm as talented as hell
When you see me pass
I'm not travelling second class,
"cause I am woman.
I have a black belt in Karate
I can lead a political party,
on any instrument I can tinkle
iron a shirt without a wrinkle
be the sovereign of a nation
a whiz at navigation,
then pilot a Jumbo Jet,
and give my heart to a homeless pet.
Yes I am woman hear me well,
I'm as talented as hell
when you see me pass
I'm not travelling second class
"cause I am woman.
A nuclear physicist I could be
an astronaut making history
a plumber or a nurse,
a grand speaker without rehearse
a barmaid pulling beer
or the mother of the year
a detective fighting crime
or digging coal down in a mine.
Yes I am woman hear me well
I'm as talented as hell
when you see me pass
I'm not travelling second class
'Cause I am woman
I can wield a heavy spade,
as a mechanic I make the grade,
I can form a beautiful bouquet,
plow a field and then toss hay.
There is nothing I can't do
yet I'm a lady through and through,
I have a voice I have a brain,
Need I bother to explain?
That I'm a woman hear me well,
I'm as talented as hell,
When you see me pass
I'm not travelling second class,

Hi Nero, nice to
see you again. I'm glad you're still posting... :) Okay let me be serious now. Hmmmmm, let's seeeee...
We (almost always) have someone to protect us (man wise) which makes us feel safe. We also seem to have closer friends and are allowed to express more feelings. We can wear skirts! ;D. Most women tend to be closer to children. We also get away with excuses for not being able to do physically demanding things. Most of the time, we don't have to ask the guys out, and we get the romance instead of having to give it. LOL ;D
tink :icon_chick:
Something I realized at dinner last night, a little history my BF and I dated we were both gay men when we would go out BTrans we got stares called names etc. etc.. Now being female I just love being able to hold hands and kiss my BF in public and nobody says a thing :)
Oh.. and I feel sexy, and sexually bold as a woman where I am the most boring, straitlaced man in the world...the female part of me is quite kinky.
I miss nothing =D IMO being male has more perks.
Surely it would just be you being you? If you where born female but with a male body, the best thing about being female, would just be the freedom to be who you really are and not someone you are not. At the end of the day what is the best thing about anything? whatever we make of it as people, as us in our own right, it doesn't matter if you are male / female / transsexual / black/ white/ green/ etc... as long as you are true to you and yourself. Too much time is wasted on people judging and critisising other people never enough time on understanding and acceptance.
My girlfriend and I talked about this, and we think the best things about being female are:
- bitching about anyone we want out in public ;)
- nice smooth, hair free legs
- snuggling up to each other on the lounge and watching TV. :)
- going out cycling/shopping and perving on other girls together, and point out the ones we missed to each other
- wearing my girly clothes (Sally), esp to work. :) I love wearing my boots and skirt to work.
- people moving aside for you and saying your sorry
- the guys at work all of a sudden opening the door for you, when they didn't before transition (Sally)
- using the female toilets, they are a lot cleaner than male toilets (male toilets are filthy)
- going out shopping for stuff, and the guy at the counter thinks you do not know what you are talking about, but you start telling him what you actually want, and not what he wants to sell you.
- the looks on peoples faces when they see 2 girls holding hands
- being able to go to work with my nails painted and not have to rush around taking it off on a Sunday Night/Monday Morning (Sally)

I'm asexual no matter what, but when I feel primarily female, I'm very romantic, whereas when I feel primarily male I'm almost aromantic.

I feel romantic no matter what...buy me a flower :icon_flower: and I buy you a bunch :icon_bunch:.
My physical beauty, my hair, how young lads look at me, lol, being feminine, sexy, sassy, coquetish...
things i like:
Clean restrooms
being able to chat to a random female stranger for the hell of it.
Getting courted.
my skin
my hair
my bewbies!
makeing out and getting that really overwelming emotional knot in my chest and loving every second.
men
being looked at as pretty
being a lightweight ><
there aint nothin' I like.
I cannot explain it, it's just the feeling of being a woman..it's just right.
That it feels right in my mind.
That people don't ask me to move heavy objects anymore (especially since I couldn't lift them before HRT, either).
That I get far more hugs now than I ever did before.
Being silly
and the one that is unfortunately still a bit far away for me at the moment, one of the things that I will like the most about being female will definetely be when I finally won't have that...thing...between my legs. I just want it gone!

I share your feelings. That time is getting closer... ;)
I am having to think about this...
I suppose one thing about being born female I like is that my height is considered normal (I'm short, I'll admit it.) but I know that if I had been born how I see myself, then I would be very abnormal from any perspective, so height would barely factor in.
Another thing I like is... This is really hard.
Oh, my boobs are squishy and fun to poke and prod at. I'm not terribly attached to them and would like them to be much, much smaller, but I have to admit that having squishy things on my chest to play with can be fun.
I like that no one comes after me for my plushie collection (I'm an anime fan).
I honestly can't think about anything else I enjoy about being female.
I hate my propensity towards emotion (stupid hormones). I hate being small and weak (compared to guys). I hate having doors held for me, being called "sweetie, baby or honey" at work (I'm a telemarketer and the guys I call are FOREVER calling me this), "Chick flicks"... I hate almost all of it.
My sensitivity and perceptiveness. I also like being intellectually superior to men. >:D
1. Not being a w*nker
2. Knowing that i'm more intelligent than most men
3. Not thinking with the wrong head >:D
4. Being independent and ambitious, and knowing what i want from life!
5. Using the power of being intuitive
6. Being able to articulate and express complex thoughts and feelings with the support and understanding of other women.
7. Being able to blame everything on hormones!
8. Not being the victim of machismo
9. Being a tomboy or sexy when i so desire

OMG! ROFL....what a hoot! ;D :D. I have to frame that phrase in gold and give it to you as a present after your SRS. LOL ;D :-*
tink :icon_chick:
yeah, 10 points. quite witty *giggles*
CERTAINLY something i'm glad about.
Being able to be desirable or a queen bitch.
Summer wardrobes.
Long showers.
Able to daydream without being taken for retarded.
a clear head.
No more being forced to hang around zoo creatures.
No more mens loos *shudder*
Bewbs.
the leany over cleavage abuseing 'aw please?' routine.
helping friends when thier in emotional trouble and not feeling useless.
Drinking with girlfriends and slagging off men in general when one of our relationships goes south.
Chickflicks.
Denim miniskirts and footless 3/4 tights.... (win).
Being allowed to not drink beer, and not have my sexuality questioned (yuk).
bad bits:
Bewbs are like testicles on ones chest, only larger targets, and more bangable on things.
How long my hair takes to dry.
Hair in wind.
middleaged, overweight, ugly men who think thier Brad Pitt <-- i seem to attract these.
Sad stuff :*(
Being treated like an IDIOT when in a hardware place, garrage, or airsoft place... why are men apparently the only people allowed to ever hold technical knowlage of any kind?
I love flooring guys with my technical knowledge sometimes, I wasn't always a lady :) the regulars at the shooting club we belong to all know me, I walked in whipped out my H&K USP 40 (http://www.hk-usa.com/usp_general.html) and shot groups you could put your hand through, after that they all call me Annie Oakley, they are blown away with my mini skirts and shoulder holsters :)
Someday, ill pull off the shoulderholsters and miniskirts too :P (once i buy a miniskirt)
Clothes
shopping
makeup
long hair
no beard
nice smooth shiney lips.
less body hair
being pretty
feel more free & do not feel like i have to be strong & manley
feeling less anger and feeling whole.
Nicer shoes.
and everything that is pink & cute.
...
Simply... being... me!
My great intuition and being sensitive in recognizing my and other persons emotions (among other things), multi-tasking, getting certain privileges and having a certain female power (I notice how men react different on me then they do on men), being called attractive, having a smooth skin, people feel very much at ease around me, thinking about others first then about me (which is the other way around for when I am more to the masculine side), ....eh....eh..... ah yeah, I sing better when I am more to the feminine side.. otherwise my voice tends to crack up ;D
Hi All
1. I love being me
2. I can make mistakes and there is usually someone willing to help
3 I love the attention I get form the guys
4. I like being able to wear pretty things
5. I like being able to change my looks with a little make-up
6. I really love having boobs(very important to me)
7. I like having doors oppened for me, but I do not expect it
8. It is a riot to watch how guys will sneak around to watch you. When I grocery shop I will see the same guy in every isle trying to be inconspicous, but checking me out.
9. I can be in bad moods and everyone thinks, Oh it is just that time of the month
10. Most important I have made so many friends here on Susans by being what I am, and for that I am very gratefull. My very close friends here know who they are, and I am so blessed to have them
Deb
Hmm... I never was female, so I wouldn't know. I'm a guy. However, I do things now the same way I did them when I was supposedly a chick. So... I don't know.
I love women. I love everything about them. Particularly things pertaining to my wife. Anywho.
Dean
Nothing..... I hate being trapped in a womans body when I feel so much of a man inside..........
Really the main thing is the community. My relationships with other females are a lot more rewarding than the relationships I had with men. Not because of anything that men did I guess, but I just finally have friends I understand and who understand me. So I guess that's the one thing that has really stood out to me that I've liked the most.
 Nero,
Thanks for asking this question -- your list & the replies
remind me of many things I may have not appreciated
as much as I could!
Since I live most of my public life in the male role, I am
amazed every time in the female role that I almost always
feel more self-confident than in the male. The first time
I was dressed in the presence of other M2F's, I found
myself immediately more outgoing and able to play a
supportive role for those who seemed to be less confi-
dent. This was at a group meeting, and as soon as I
stepped out of the changing room, I could have been
singing the words of John Denver (but with female pro-
nouns and at the age of 40), "He was born in the summer
of his twenty-second year, comin' home to a place he'd
never been before." And even tho I had planned to
change clothes again before leaving, I was feeling so
good that I knew that changing would make me de-
pressed, so I drove home en femme -- and what a
w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l feeling that was (after I kicked off
my heels so I could drive safely, that is)!!!
Thanks to all,
:icon_chick: Sandra
I like being happy.... and free from depression and jealousy.
Buffy
My wardrobe is a whole lot cuter than before
High-heels instead of steel-toe boots
soft and pretty instead of rugged and handsome
being able to play *helpless* and having men help me more so than if I were a guy in the same situation
Having inner peace and harmony in my life instead of a nagging feeling of something not being right ;)
Wow, I like almost everything about being female. Here's a few things that stand out in my mind.
Things I love:
The clothes.
People seeing me as attractive for once.
Most of my body (not the genitalia yet).
Being able to be vulnerable.
People I do not know telling me that I'm beautiful.
Not being assumed guilty or malicious.
Being called ma'am, whether in person or on the phone.
Guys flirting with me.
Having female friends or even just women who feel comfortable talking to me because I'm female.
Using the correct restroom for once.
Having the power to persuade people who don't want to let down a female.
Having guys help me carry things.
Having guys hold open doors or give up their seats for me.
Not feeling horney ALL the time.
Having less hair.
Having breasts!!!
Being able to just talk with people.
Being able to just be one of the girls.
Just being female.
Things I don't like so much:
Wearing bras with straps that fall off your shoulders.
Having thighs that rub together when I walk with bare legs in a skirt.
Having to get up early because getting ready takes SO long in the morning (I don't mind the time it takes, just the getting up early part).
Lower metabolism.
Fear of being attacked.
What do I like *about* it?
I have no idea. It's not *about* it exactly. It's IT.
I can't seem to stop crying in joy, then laughing, then crying, then...
I've never felt a joy like this. EVER. Never, ever. I didn't know life could feel like this. That simply *existing* would be a joy in itself.
Did I mention I like it?
Because I really do ;)

Yes and something funny I've noticed about myself: I used to really dislike going to work and if I could stay home, I would. Now, it would take a lot to get me to miss a day. I love just being me out in the world finally and the feeling is indescribable.

Brilliant answer Jeannette,,,,
Its just easier appearing as a woman. I like it when people appreciate my feminimity! Feels nice to fit in.
1. Having doors held open for me.
2. Being called ma'am.
3. Feeling that I am complete and liberated
4. Wearing heels.
I don't know how this qualifies but I have men try to hit on me quite a bit. Go figure.
