I figure I can't be the only one freezzzizing my tail off this winter, today it was 1F/-17C during the day and about -10F/-23C right now
How about where you're at?
Just went from the low 20s to being 50 for the last 2 days. Hmm...

You can call me a wimp but I get to do the same come summer when the complaints start after a week 90+ temps and humidty. I'll be kicking back saying "Finally, it's Spring Time" :D
Not a wimp. :P I just live in Texas. :P
I'm not as cold as you VM, but waiting for the bus when it is 27F out is no fun. Especially when it starts snowing on you. It's times like this when I wish I had some fat on me.

It was in the 30s today after warming up into the 40s and 50s for a couple of days. It melted the snow and ice so that is good enough for me.
We warmed up to the 40s and 50s last week. It was simply wonderful! Today, frigid again.

32oF here right now. Snowed slightly today. Yuck!

I have been over-dramatically complaining about the cold all day long, so I can't believe it's colder there Virginia! I can't imagine that there even is a colder temperature than it is right now. It doesn't seem natural or that it should be physically possible. How can you stand it???
FYI it's been between -3°F and 10°F for the past few days and it's making me a very unpleasant person.

We had some cold weather and even a couple nights where it was as low as 30. There is a chance though that it will get cold some more and maybe even freezing, but still don't know if we'll get snow or not.
- 1 had sleet on Sunday
Welll its 38 degrees celcius/101 F by me today and will be around 20 degrees celcius/68 F tonight
I love the cold. I'd rather be knee deep in snow than sweating away in 120 F + heat that we have during the summer at work. Even now, mid January, its not unusual to see sweat rolling down my face. Last time I checked inside the factory was 80 F and humidity was really high.

Anytime. Glad I could help. ;D
There's a large sliding glass door next to my bed and I'm considering covering it with cardboard and duct tape (or something equally ghetto). The snow is really pretty though and I wouldn't trade it for warmer weather as long as I've got a house and hot cocoa and stuff. :)
y'all may hate me for it, but its a nice 73 outside right now. We get that sometimes during the winter, it comes from being on the coast and not all that far from the gulf stream. I'm sure we'll pay for it later, but hey, its really nice now!
Today was sunny and warm enough not to need a jacket! Too bad I am stuck inside sick :(
When are going to get a real winter around here? Where is the 12-20 inch snowfall? Or the two weeks straight of below zero weather. :(

I do want the snow (The two weeks of below I can really do with out) These older bones don't like it too well ;)

In sunny southern California, the last few nights have dipped into the 30s (F). My lemon, tangerine, and avocado are all well, though - no freeze.
For me, I would say it was "colder than a witch's tit in a brass brassier."
31C (88F) here, but humid. It did get down to 4C (39F) once upon a time here. That was almost a record low. Lowest this month is 19C (66F). Can't even imagine what it's like to live in a place that snows ....

-8 deg. F, here in Williston, ND. -35F wind chill.
Around 25F here with snow on the way. Big Apple...more like Big Snowball.
Of course, the boiler broke down around mid-December and my room is somehow colder than outside, not to mention the bare floor (no rugs because of my allergies). Brr.
I'd take ridiculously hot weather over this anytime. The sound of nylon jackets rubbing against pretty much anything seals the deal for me.
About -10 C or 14 F. :P In other words, it could be worse.
Getting the best of both worlds here. It's 38F and snowing! I love it when I can enjoy the snow and it's gone by the time I have to drive anywhere in it.

You need a little "global warming." ;)
It was getting into the 30's (Fahrenheit) just last week where I am, but now it's in the 80's. Ugh. Too hot for me. It was finally getting cold enough for me to wear my sweaters and scarves and that lasted for about two weeks!
I'm used to it being below 0 around this time of the year, I do not enjoy living in the desert.
28F/-2C during the day, 1F/-17C tonight with snow expected
And it's now 15F. Wind chill is 8.
I might be okay with this if I had heat and my blanket actually had some warmth to it.
...Maybe Canada is colder, but my joints hurt. I'll be sure never to move up North :P
Its actually cold now, was in the 40's during the day and down to around 30 tonight, but tomorrow night, it will dip down to 24 or so. But by the end of the weekend, we should be back to the 60's to 70's during the day with chilly nights. Hazards of living at the beach.
-10F windy and snowing,...yay >:(
Happy medium here in Tasmania. Neither the scorchers they are having on the mainland, or the freezing temps you are copping in the other half of the world. 23'C, 73 F.

We got snow!!!!! Woooo! Yay!! Alright!!!!! ;D ;D ;D
Well it's Sweden, and it's January, so cold, really cold. So cold infact that even with the radiator turned up to full it's still freezing inside and it's not abnormal that I wear my jacket inside to stop freezing.
Also I've noticed that I'm freezing alot more since I started HRT, which does not really make sense in my mind. Loss of muscles but gaining fat, fat is suppose to help you not freeze, it's one of the basic functions of fat. Oh well, I'm sure there is a perfectly normal explanation I just never bothered to actually look it up.

Yes, fat insulates heat. However, muscle PRODUCES 85% of your body's heat. Plus, alterations in vasodilation patterns cause an unfavorable blood distribution for feeling warm. :P

Absolutely pathetic, I know. I hate Oklahoma. We haven't even had a winter storm this winter yet. We didn't get one last year either. I need my winter. >:(
It was 70F a few days ago. Now Monday is the only day between now and Friday that doesn't have snow in the forecast.

Hope everyone on the US East Coast makes it through the storms okay. Low 20's C here in Tassie, (low 70's), but blowing a gale.
We only got about 3 inches here. We never get the good stuff.
We're expecting a storm here over the weekend, not sure how much snow to expect but we are supposed to get some
I take it back on never getting the "good" stuff. All the roads are covered in ice. Love when they plow and don't bother to treat them. I'd rather they leave the snow on the road so at least there's some traction.
The mayor said this morning that all but the tertiary streets have been cleared of the snow we got here- I think around 7 or 8 around my neighborhood.
Okay... so tell me, why is the major primary street that I live on still covered in snow? It's turning brown from cars trying to drive on it.
Speaking of cars, mine won't be moving any time soon considering all the snow piled up on it
4 degrees
It will dip into the high 30s (F) tonight. Break out the Bermuda shorts! It's a heatwave.
Darn that Global Warming.
Here, just before dawn, its a frigid 57.
It's about 5F/-15C here right now
I tend to laugh at the British media when they panic about 2 whole centimetres of snow, like civilisation will grind to a halt. That's not snow. Canada, for example, gets way more than that and they manage. America's east coast has bigger problems. We shouldn't moan.
We're going down to zero degrees centigrade tonight. It's going to be uncomfortable because our central heating is broken but I've survived worse.
Nights like this remind me of something that happened when I was a teenager in Johannesburg. There was a homeless guy who used to hang out near our college. We kids would give him food, drinks and clothing so he was taken care of as much as we could. One night it went down to -10 centigrade... and the next morning when I turned up at college there were cops and paramedics across the road. Our homeless guy had frozen to death during the night. Thinking of him makes me grateful for what I do have; never mind what I don't have. :(
On a lighter note, I tend to read our weather in an Austalian accent. Because 'highs of 3 degrees' sounds hilarious when seen from an Aussie perspective. ;)

The Aussies don't seem to moan about their weather as much as the Brits do: they just get on with things.
Reading British weather in an Aussie accent is fun at any time of the year. Last summer, our local media was panicking about the risks of vulnerable people dying during a heatwave. Of 28 degrees C. Try saying
that in an Aussie accent whilst keeping a straight face. ;)

'posed to get down to about thirty tonight, with a high of about 60 manana.
