Title: the fear of comming out
Post by: kelly25 on January 20, 2013, 02:17:34 PM
We all at one time are stuck with the fear of coming out. We fear how people are going to react will I lose a friend, how will my family take it. The thing is we never truly know till we come out. I my self was deadly afraid about coming out. But I was able to build up the courage and finally was able to tell one of my close friends  and surprising their reaction was not what I expected.( they were cool with it) after that I got a little more  confident and was able to tell another friend than another soon I was telling people I worked with  and soon enough I had no problem telling people I just met and each time my confidants grew and each time I gained a friend some one to support me through this. ( I do get asked questions some very interesting ones at that.)
So remember you will never know till you tell someone yes you will run into some negative reactions
Just remember this the felling you get when you tell someone and they accept you for you is the greatest felling ever. I wish you all good luck

Thank you kelly. Your post is exactly what I need right now. I think I might try to come out to a close friend who I think would be supportive, like you did. I'll see how that goes and go from there!
