I'm sure plenty of you remember, I've been asking about packers a lot XD Hope it's not annoying or anything
Anyways, I've narrowed it down to the Masho or the 4" Sailor... and I keep flip-flopping between the two. When I finally think I've decided on one, I change my mind.
For you guys who have had both, could you compare them and tell me which you'd recommend?
Is cost an issue? Both of those are good packers, but I'm curious as to why you've excluded the RM from your choices. I've got one and it's great...a lot of people have reviewed it and say its the best they have ever used. Just curious...
Part of it is cost, but I could save up if I wanted it; I'm new to packing, so I don't want to go with something quite so expensive in case it turns out packing isn't for me. If I end up feeling like I need to pack every day, then I will definitely save up for the RM, but I just don't want to drop $80 on something that I may not use often.
I don't think you could go wrong either way. My personal prefference of the two is the sailor, but not by much. Just keep in mind that neither of them will last very long.
I honestly think the Mr. Limpy is the best choice for someone new to packing, because it's the cheapest and most durable. I never tried the Sailor because people always say a harness cuts into it and tears the material very quickly. That never happened with my Mr. Limpy. I recommend the Masho though. It's my favorite packer and I've done a review on it here if you want in-depth info. However, my harness has cut into it. There's no actual perforations in the material but there is a significant indentation on the top of the shaft. If you want to pack with it you might want to look into a method that doesn't involve any elastic or anything pressing down on the shaft.

Do you think wearing packing underwear instead of harnesses could help with that? I've been thinking about getting a masho, but some reviews mentioned that it ended up falling apart fairly quickly...

I'm wondering the same thing- I've seen that most harnesses tear most packers so I was curious about something different.
Yeah, I think packing underwear would help. I never tried any though. The design of my harness is what damages the packers so something a little more free-floating wouldn't harm them.
Silicone packers dont get torn by my harness. Though there is a bit of a dent in my RM where my harness goes but you cant see it unless it's off of my body.
Personally I was very impressed with the Mr. Sailor. I'n fact I refused to by new stp's when I was trying all of them but instead opted to make my own using the Mr. Sailor that came from the Fitz I bought about 10 months ago. I don't wear it very often but it is soft, and I could see a rough harness causing damage. I personally just made a pouch that holds the balls with a hold in the front for the shaft and a overlap in the back (so I can pull the stp out, not that I ever got that far). It's got a wait band so I just put it on under my underwear. I feel theres less chance of it getting ruined by this kind of harness but I haven't worn it constantly, so I don't know for sure.
With regards to the packer itself. The only choices (due to shipping issues) that I really had was between the Mr. Limpy and the Sailor, so I went for the sailor because I wanted something that at least looked somewhat realistic for cheap. The feel of the Sailor is good and I like the details on it. It also lays nice under my pants and doesn't give off the impression of an erection. I got the 4inch as well.
Over all I've been very pleased with the sailor but it's durability, due to it's very soft nature is certainly something to keep in mind.
so I finally decided on the MASHO, ordered it with a pair of packing underwear from Tranzwear. Can't wait for it to come!
Nice! Good luck with it...and let us know how you like it after you've had a chance to try it out.
