Title: Words of the Founding Fathers (Or how they would be called terrorists today...)

The quotations in this clip are topical as the current climate of this country, and the world. In many ways, I believe it is on our conscious to ensure the posterity of these men who started something good, a rare gift and a treasure. That gift, that treasure is being stolen from us everyday by men in suits that believe they can "make us better" by stealing our life, our liberty, and our very spirit. Remember these quotations, let them be the bedrock for future choices you will make. Those choices may decide the ultimate fate of our own posterity. I, for one, plan to do my best to ensure these words become the spirit and letter of our laws. They are good words, words that have not been spoken in a long time. Words of justice, of goodness, and flourishment.

Th kick in the ass is that depending an just how vocal you get and how much it conflicts with the administration you can be considered a terrorist and locked up indefinitely. It won't be too much longer and this country is going to crumble. All greedy empires eventually fall. Plus, with god in their pocket, it is a hard pill to swallow that the government is corrupt since they are all "christians"

When this place goes down, I am moving to canada.

Renae,

It won't go down.  When it seems that things are getting to be at their worst, we will take it back.  I have to think this.  We can't be a nation of pea brains.  We just can't.  Can we?

The only way to take it back is to get banks, corporations, and churches out of government. Since they are so far ingrained into our culture as "always being that way" that is going to be harder than anyone thinks.

We've had Bush elected twice and 71% of people actually believed Saddam Hussein was involved with 9/11 in 2003 and it is still close to 50% today...I'd say we have strong evidence for pea-brainism in America.

I would not say a nation of pea-brains -- rather a nation of apathetic, isolated people.

Less than half of registered voters voted; many people are not registered voters.

Most people just don't care.  Maybe they moan a little bit at the water cooler, maybe they talk about change and throwing the bums out, but there's always the TV, the radio, the internet, and the next must-have toy to take their attention.

George Orwell was wrong.  Aldous Huxley was wrong.

Ray Bradbury was right.

Have you noticed this overwhelming concern over each candidate's religion and how they feel about God lateley?  What is this?  I've never seen this much Godliness in a campaign.  Why can't we keep God in our churches?  Please?

"Give that wich is Ceasar's unto Ceasar."

A very smart man once said that from what I understand.

I completely agree with you. Church and state should be separate.

The Dems are trying to appeal to evangelical christians and moral majority people. The republicans are trying to reinforce their stances on religion in politics. It shouldn't matter what their religious belief is but with large congregations swaying voters it is a must have in the campaign process now.

Maybe we should have a party that just blows off the churches and the corporations. I know it would lose a bunch of elections, but eventually, it might make a difference.

Does anyone know what has become of Brede?
