Hey, first, I would like to apologize for not being here very much. I registered with the site in like July of 2009 and in 3.5 years have less than 60 posts. I will try to be more active on this board. I know that's neither here nor there (and few will mind), but it makes me feel rather ingrateful in asking this question of you guys & girls.
Soooo, since I last posted, I have graduated from college, took a year off of school to focus on my transition, and will begin law school in the fall of 2013. Since law school is not a cheap endeavor, I am looking for some 3rd party scholarships to offset some of the costs and was wondering if anyone knew of any scholarships for queer people that I should look into. Any help will be appreciated.
The usual places are
http://scholarships.fastweb.com/u-gay-or-lesbian-students (http://scholarships.fastweb.com/u-gay-or-lesbian-students)
and
http://www.hrc.org/resources/entry/scholarship-database (http://www.hrc.org/resources/entry/scholarship-database)
Most of it probably depends on getting in early and spamming applying to as many places as possible.
Thanks for this post! I have been looking for some more grants and scholarships myself =)
Are these primarily Gay and Lesbian scholarships? I wonder how being trans would affect that ???
Bumping this as I'm thinking of going to grad school and was wondering if anyone had any updated information. Also, are there any grants for trans girls?
