Hi everyone,
My name is Patti. I live full time M2F in beautiful East Texas. I have been full time for a year and a half. I own my own aviation business and have had absolutely no problems making the transition. I still fly the police helicopter for all the local police agencies. I never realized there were so very many wonderful, open minded, compassionate people out here in East Texas.
I changed my name legally a year ago. I had breast augmentation last June.
I would like to legally change my gender. It does not really cause me any difficulties, even traveling internationally, but that little "M" on all my legal documents just bugs me!
I am 63 so chances are I may never have SRS.
If anyone has any insight, suggestions, documentation or any thing else that might help, I would love to hear about it!
My little local county judge is a bit of a problem. He jerked me around on my name change for 3 months until I reported him to the State board of Judicial Review. After that he gave up and signed it. He might be easier with this as he realizes that I will not let him push me around!
Hugs, Patti

63 is not too old to go for SRS, as long as you are in good health.

Hi Patti,
A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.
There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in start talking and ask any question you like. You're quite safe here and we are very accepting.
Good to hear your journey has been without turbulence so far (if you'll excuse the pun). For you to maintain your certification obviously means you are in very good health. Transition to GCS is not for everyone. You may be happy with where you are at for the rest of time. However, at the age of 63, most surgeons cutoff at 65, unless you undergo a series of tests to ensure your health will sustain the ordeal of surgery. Therefore I suggest you do everything necessary to establish your long term position. Find a good therapist who can go through every nook and cranny.
Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.
Lotsa huggs
Catherine
