I don't wear makeup often because I don't do much to warrant it, however when I first got into using makeup I ran into a quandary over how to do my eyes and eyebrows because I don't see well enough without my glasses to not screw it up. I wore contacts for awhile but my eyes don't like them anymore either.
Finally I met one woman who told me that she has the same problem and had bought 2 pairs of identical inexpensive reading glasses and removed a lens and snipped out the top of the frame over that lens, one for each eye so that she can see clearly through the other eye as she's applying eye liner, eyelid color and eyebrow makeup without mishaps. It worked just great for me since my eyebrows are extremely light and I also have to fill in with an eyebrow pencil.
You found a good and cheap solution :)
There are makeup glasses for sale !But the are expensive.
I only apply a bit of eyeliner before going to work. I'm short sighted, so I take my glasses off and get up close to the mirror.
The trouble comes if I'm away and can't get close enough to a mirror. So then I don't bother with make up at all :D
Luckily I'm near sighted so I mainly wear glasses for distance and for things like riding my bike or driving 8) What I don't like though is cleaning off the nose pads so I tend to go rather lite with the foundation in that area
Hanging a full length mirror on the back of your bathroom door is a trick I use. I can get close to do my make-up.

Good plan! I finally got one of those mirrors with a little stand that has a light and curved surface that blows up one's face so you can see the pores and capillaries, kind of scary but works.
I use a magnifying mirror and just look over the top of my glasses for the brows, and then close up for the eyes.

Good plan, I just got one recently too!
