I did it. I finally came out to my parents today about 45 minutes ago. I was the one crying and not them. My mom said, "I guess there's a reason you're 5'10"." She said that she will help me and be supportive me. She also said "I don't care if you're my son or my daughter. I love you for you."
I was so scared and I admitted this. I was crying for a good part of it, but everyone was supportive. My dad might be harder to win over, but that's fine.
I haven't expected them to call me by a preferred name [my mom wants to name me] nor have I asked for them to use pronouns yet, but that's fine.
Just knowing my mom said she would whallop anyone who makes fun of me or is mean to me makes me happy. ^_^
Congratulations! This is wonderful happy news!
Oh my gosh, Congrats Aaron! :)
^_^ Thank you, everyone! I'm riding on a high right now. :3
Woohoo! Best post I've seen today. Hugs, Devlyn
^^ <3 <3 Thanks, Devlyn!
Great going! I imagine it is a great relief to have it over with and for your mom to be so good about it. Reminds me of when I came out to my dad as transitioning.
Congratulations Aaron. So happy that your parents support you.
Hugs
Bethany
Well that was great to read...well done!
I hope you are very proud of yourself Aaron. You have every right to be. Any mother worth her salt would be glad that you are her son.
@ Crazy on the coast: Definitely! I feel like I can relax more and just be me. :3
@ Bethany: Thank you! :D
@ ford: ^_^ Thanks. <3
@ MadelineB: I'm silly proud. :P I've been all aglow. XD And thank you. <3

Get a job. >.> Then seek out a psychiatrist/psychologist to get a letter for T and go from there. My parents will be attending sessions with the psychologist as well so they'll be involved in my transition. They're also going to be going to the local trans* group meetings with me starting later this month [so my mom can find out how to react to people who harass me over this (her words) and to just learn more and to have support as well].
Sweet. That's wonderful news, congratulations. :)
wow you have an awesome mom!
