Title: Help with femme shopping experience. All are welcome.
Post by: Kevin Peña on February 09, 2013, 09:22:22 PM
Okay, my school has these things called Senior Pride Fridays. Eventually, there's going to be a "Crossdresser Day." Needless to say, I want to take this opportunity to have an excuse to dress in femme attire without it being weird. Therefore, I would like some recommendations with what to buy. It can only be from Sears or a Brooklyn thrift store. Limit is $100.

Ground rules:
1. No skinny heels. Only block heels </= 2 inches for boots/heels. My feet aren't broken, and I want to keep it that way.  :P
2. No pants. Dresses/skirts/leggings for said dresses and skirts only, please.
3. I don't have money for accessories.

So, look up whatever you like within the rules and we'll have some fun.

PS--> FTMs, don't be shy. I'll take any recommendations into consideration.  :)

What fun!  I wish they would have had something like that when I was in school.  By Brooklyn thrift store do you mean like a second hand store?  Anyway that is what I suggest.  I buy lots of clothes at Goodwill stores.  With $100.00 you'll be able to get a whole outfit including accessories.  They don't bat an eye if you want to try things on.  If you feel nervous about it you can always say you're in a play at school.

As far as what to wear....I would just stay with a classic look.  A cute top and a skirt.  Something a little flirty, kinda on the sexy side but not slutty.  I'm sure you've noticed the clothes girls your age in your area wear.  See what you like on other girls and try to pattern your style after that.

Try to find a nice pair of wedges.  They give you the leg lengthening look of heels but are easy to walk in.

Again...don't go too slutty.  If there is one mistake a lot of us make is trying too hard to look sexy and we end up looking like hookers.

Hope you have a great time with it.

Oh, I know. I don't plan on being slutty. I'm actually quite conservative with my wardrobe.  :P

I figured this topic was dead. Thanks for the tips.  :)
