Title: Going public
Post by: Kayle Sky on February 12, 2013, 08:12:25 AM
So, I am new here and wanted share my story so far. I will sift through all the pages and support that everyone has given to eachother when I can sit down later, but if there are any strong suggestions on where to start resourcing please let me know.

I am 31 and have been in therapy for 4 months now and have come out to everyone I know. It feels amazing. I went to the library tand checked out a mountain of books, but it is all emotional support and not enough what to do. Meeer :-( so I weigh 185 lbs ruffly. I have cut out processed foods and gone vegitarian to ensurr my food is healthy as can be, but not sure how to slim down while not fetting muscular.  Also just got my eyebrows done yesterday!  Yay! Sorry if this is rambaly. I feel like I am still kind of adrift and trying to connect for great resourcing and support.

Hmmmm, what else. Oh, I am married and she is all kinds of supportive. She has always been the strong one. Some day I wish to go on hrt when I am given the ok, but for now I am trying to figure out how I can get my outside to match how I feel and become fully passable at least on an emotional level if not quite physical. Shmeh. Ummm...yeah. help?!

Hi Kayle Sky.

There's so much information here you'll be snowed under. But it's all there for you as we are.

Yeah, holy guacamole. There is a lot. Now for the sifting to commence. Now trying to sift resources at a starting point for trans friendly employment thst might cover my needs in insurance as well. Plus the aspects of figuring out how to scrape together the mony for laser hair removal. Most people don't recognize me as me when I am in me mode and not guy mode. But at the end of a day my whiskers poke through my makeup. :'(

Try to find a place that let's you do laser by the session instead of up-front. Your therapist or local group may have someone they can refer. Keep in mind laser only does dark hair, not light.

Yeah. I want to do it by the session, no idea of the cost really to start with my face. I have black facial hair so no worryabout it being too light. There are some resource groups here in kc but really wish there were more. Now to try and find a dirt where I ddon't feel like I am starving myself trying to lose my suze. Fit but husky is part of my problem.

They are and should be, But Susans' has an email icon which will open a blank email. This is sent to your email address, but the sender and anyone else, won't see that address.

Perfectly safe.

You are right though, not only wring to post your email address, it also makes it immediatly avaible to the spam bots and you get innundated with Spam

Welcome!  :)

One good tip for dropping weight, w/o putting on muscle is running. I do 25 miles a week (5 miles / 5 days a week) and it works great. I hated it at first, but the results are undeniable and have won me over. Swimming is also excellent, if you have access to a pool etc.

Yeah. I think I might start biking again. No pool and had the weight off but had knee surgery and wa s told I could walk but should refrain from running ever again.
