So... I've been feeling a bit sorry for myself for the past two weeks because I have a cold. However, one wonderful side-effect of having a cold is that my voice drops by an octave or two. It sounds so much better. :)
So tonight I had to get petrol on the way home from work. When I went to pay, the conversation started like this:
Cashier: Good evening!
Me (gruffly): Hi! Pump no. 5 please.
Cashier: Certainly, Sir!
I haven't stopped smiling yet. Can I get a high-five? :)
^5 Good for you! I know I love it when I get Ma'amed though thats not nearly as often as I would like.
High-five for sure.
It is a great feeling.
Congrats!
That's a great feeling. (:
High five!
High 5! That's brilliant.

Wow, awesome!! ;D
*high five!*
Awesome bro! I've had a gruff cold voice for about a week, but I'm getting better now and it's reasons like this I'm kinda sad to feel better :)
That's awesome! I still get excited when I'm addressed as male.
*high five for you!*
Somehow when I'm confident that I can pass my voice settles in a lower, gruffer manner- when I'm less confident it makes me cringe endlessly. Though I'll take a cold over a high-pitched voice :P
Thanks for the high-fives, everyone! :)
Last night showed me that I pass reasonably OK visually, but clearly my voice is the thing that causes me to get 'madamed'. Hopefully T will help with that. Heck, even if it only drops my voice by as much as a cold does, that'll be helpful. :)
<high five all around> That's awesome. I remember the first time I was sirred on the phone. Still have some issues on the phone but I probably do sound better a little gravelly.
