Title: Therapist In Las Vegas
Post by: VegasLakers on February 26, 2013, 01:20:56 AM
I am looking for a therapist in Las Vegas. I need a sliding scale therapist because I'm unemployed. How much does a normal session cost and how many sessions are needed? I know every city and situation is different, but a ballpark figure would be nice. I have done some searches online and can't seem to find anything other than family counseling. Thanks for any help.

Jane is transgender herself but I am not certain what her charges are and if she discounts her rates, but she is situation sympathetic.  Jane wrote the second letter for my GRS and I have worked with her for a couple of years in a non-profit organization advocating transgender rights.

You should also contact the LGBT Center of Southern Nevada, 702.733.9800. They have a transgender resource guide that should have several therapist's contact information plus they have a transgender support group and a caring staff.  They were a great help to me and I met a lot of helpful people when I started my transition.

Feel free to contact me if want more info or have other questions.

Thanks for that. I did not know the LGBT Center had a resource guide. I will also with the therapist you recommended.

I have a question about the group that meets at the LGBT Center. Is that a formal meeting or more social? I have never been to any kind of social group and don't know how those work. I know nobody that goes there and get kinda nervous in a formal setting when I don't know anybody. Thanks for your help.
