Title: Anyone else do this?
Post by: kitten on February 26, 2013, 08:38:39 PM
I will start this off by saying I'm pre everything so my body is completely male and even though my body has no feminine features at all I still feel the need to hide my chest. (People can see the rest of my upper body but if i have to go without a shirt on i will always hide my chest one way or another but usually I never take my shirt off at all.)

So does anyone else who is pre HTR or remembers a time when they were pre HTR and has/had a clearly male body do/done this?

Edit: Reading some of the responses made me think of something else which is have/did you ever stop doing it at some point. I personally think my instinct to do it has gotten stronger now, I'm too female in mind to care that I'm male in body. (In the Summer around here many guys walk around without shirts on and i used to look at it completely unable to comprehend how they could just let themselves do that.)

Far into my teens. I was fat so I had a reasonable excuse, but good Lord... I hated swimming for so many years.

I do. I feel naked withput a shirt or top on in public. One of the reasons I hate swiming as most pools say that you can't wear a shirt in the pool.

Yea i haven't gone swimming in years other than once when my father sister and I went to Florida and stopped by typhoon lagoon and the two of them forced me into it. (Most uncomfortable day ever.)

not even my family can see me without a shirt on at this point (If i must i use my arm or something else to cover myself family would always poke fun at me for it.) I'm underweight to so there is nothing there to hide but i cant not hide it just doesn't feel right.

Well, since I shave my legs and lasered off everything else, I don't really feel like swimming or exposing myself or anything like that either. I also had very bad skin issues so I was always hiding my skin. For a long time I didn't even want to show my arms, but over the last couple years it's not really been a big deal. I also wear mostly tank tops under a button shirt and anyone can clearly see enough of my chest to see I don't have any chest hair. Thank GOD.

Pretty much from 7 or 8 years old til at least 19/20 I would wear a top when swimming anywhere public. At home in our pool I could do it when it was just me but if anyone else were swimming, friends or family, I would have to grab an old t shirt or rashie. I was always overweight as a kid but I think I just got to a stage in my early 20's where I just stopped caring about if people thought I was fat. Now that I've waxed and looking at laser I think I'm going back to the "good ol days". At least for a while! cant wait til I can just let go again! Always loved swimming!

I tried to but people usually were like "hurry and take your shirt off". Idk why but when I hit puberty I was never comfortable with it, I rarely ever swam.

Same here, Since my teen years I was never topless expect for very few occasions. I even used to turn around face my back if someone is in the same room when I am changing my top and I was the only one among my friends (except for girls) who used a bathroom to change my cloths when we went out on trips.  I think it came more as an instinct other than anything else.

I did this when I was a child and I have to admit I still do this. I become very uncomfortable and have never really learned how to swim as a result  :( . I couldn't tell you how many excuses I gave for avoiding swimming.

I find this topic very interesting...I never realized it til you pointed it out, but after hitting around my teens, I became very self conscious and uncomfortable with my chest exposed and would often keep it covered it in someway and still do. It never did stop me from swimming though.

Seeing all these responses makes me feel that our minds are indeed wired to hide our breasts even if they don't/didn't exist on the current body, I find that interesting^^. (Though there will be those that don't care just like there are CiS women that don't care.)

I was just thinking the same thing too kitten, it does seem a tad of a coincidence that so many of us not just had an aversion to changing in public or in front of others, (me too! didn;t mention that before) but so specifically going topless. Makes you wonder.
