Title: Coming out to family
Post by: Bex on February 27, 2013, 11:46:10 AM
Hi

I'm planning on coming out to my family when I go home for the Easter holidays.  I think they already suspect something and I'm pretty sure they'll accept it but I'm nervous about taking such a big step.  I'm not out to anyone yet but am hoping to do so after I've told my family.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Just do it Bex! Like you say, they probably already have their suspicions. The only thing you have to lose is your old self as you step into the new you. Yeah there might be some drama, that's their job to show some kind of displeasure, but they always come to the realization that it's your life to live and not theirs. Good luck!
