Title: Hello, new here... don't bite
Post by: Nia on February 27, 2013, 04:09:32 PM
Hello, I'm Nia.

A few years back I came to understand I was fighting the real me and it was holding me back. Recently I did a bit of outing in my gamer cicles and this last weekend with family. So far, so good, but I thought it best to keep reaching out and talking to others. While I'm able to rest easy and peacefully that this hasn't caused social turmoil anywhere yet, I did sort of let the specter of being outed and potentially persecuted get a bit out of hand and that ended up doing so much more damage to myself and family for it.

So I'm starting from the bottom on practically everything and moving toward transitioning. I guess that's kinda what's overwhelming me right now.

That aside I'm a pretty nerdy gamer type of girl  Usually can't shut up about the stuff. Especially RPGs.

Anyway, that's me.

Nice to meet ya :)

Coming to terms with one's identity is an overwhelming experience indeed!  Good for you for endeavoring to reach out and connect with people, it's a good step to take.

RPGs are, in fact, the best thing humans have ever created.  I'm a nerrrrrd myself.

Stick around and pull up a chair, this place is a madhouse full of lovely individuals.

And I won't bite unless I'm being affectionate :P ;)

Hi Nia, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 10277  strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister. (https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fsmileys.on-my-web.com%2Frepository%2FAnimals%2Fferret-3.gif&hash=f49e2f86761323f2abd9c33941920389dbb3b10f)
