Hi,
I'm no good at introductions, so here's my no-good introduction :) I'm Lauren, sitting here with my face looking like it lost a bout with a wasp's nest from electrolysis (it's a Wednesday tradition) and I've finally come to realize that after almost 43 years, "she" isn't going away so I might as well stop fighting her and start finally being her. I'm only out to my wife, and I'm very lucky that she is extremely supportive of me. Oh, and my dog is supportive, too, but he can only show it by grunting and passing gas, but he does that stuff anyway.
It's nice to be here. I'm sure it's going to be a wild ride.
Hi Lauren, :icon_wave:
Welcome to Susan's. We truly are a global, happy family. One of the moderators will pop in soon with all the do's and dont's.
It took me almost 45 years to realise that "she" is never going to go away!
It is fantastic to have a supporting wife. It makes transitioning a little easier.
Wild ride?? You bet! Especially when and if you start hormones!! But oh so much fun. ::)
Tell us a little more about yourself please?
I am from sunny South Africa.

Hi Maegan (pretty name!),
It seems like a really welcoming place, which is why I decided to jump in here. I'm really shy, even on the internet.
Hmmmm.. well, I'm from New Jersey (USA) now living in sunny Arizona. I actually think that the subconscious, ulterior motive behind me moving out here from a place I'd lived my whole life wasn't so much the sunny and warm, but rather I needed to be somewhere I could grow into myself without feeling so stifled. I love my family and all, but they are kind of in each others' business all the time and I couldn't deal with that anymore. I think the same qualities that allowed me to make a nice life for myself in a brand new place where I didn't know a soul at first is going to serve me well as I transition.
Thanks for your warm welcome:) I'd say more but it's really, really early here and the coffee hasn't kicked in yet!
Hugs,
Lauren

Thank you! I'm going to guess it's the wingspan/saga group since that is literally next to campus.
