to various surgeon's offices. Is this a good idea? Is this how to get started? Or is there a better/more appropriate way? I had composed such an email a few months ago but decided I wasn't ready. I saved it to my drafts, but that was all. I still don't know if I'm ready, but collecting information never hurts right?
Emailing the various surgeons is a great way to start, wellthat and reading every inch of their siteBasically get a feel for whom may be doing your surgery, if you can read the email enough and gather what I would say, a sincerity, and feeling to it, than you can get more of an idea who will ultimately be doing your surgery.
SRS is a serious and personal choice and its only fitting you get to know who ever does it on a personal level.
Beware of surgeons who are willing to schedule you with no request in paper work or test as well, if the dr wants a lot of med tests performed before you go this is a sign he cares, and while frustrating at times it is good to have a dr who wants this.
Hope this helps ^-^
