Title: HRT and antipsychotics
Post by: erika-jiaying on March 03, 2013, 04:39:28 PM
I have schizoaffective disorder (/ borderline personality disorder) so I take a moderately strong dose of Abilify (an antipsychotic) + a typical dose of wellbutrin + a typical dose of Zoloft. I know the Zoloft (an SSRI) and the abilify have effects on sexuality, I was wondering how it would interact with estrogen, antiandrogens, etc.

I'm self-dosing so I don't have access to an endocrinologist yet. Because I'm classified as a high suicide risk, they won't let me take hormones until I've stabilized so for now I'm self-dosing.

No idea how those would interact but this site forbids the disclosure of specific doses so you may want to edit your post.

This is for my depression / mental disorder, not HRT.

Hi, while your dosages were not for HRT, I have removed them. Also, any self medication discussions are prohibited. hugs, Devlyn
