Last night, while at Home Depot, my S.O. and I took a break to use the restrooms. As I was entering the mens, I thought for a moment that she was walking into a utility closet - and glanced in the other direction, to where I thought the Ladies Room was, to discover that there was a third restroom: uni-sex.
Anyway... I thought that was nice, and thought I'd share it under this handily-titled section of the forum.
Sadie out.
That is pretty cool. We're getting a Home Depot finally where I live, in construction now, and I hope ours will have that. If not when I'm dressed up I'll use the ladies room and when I'm having to be a guy still I'll use the men's.
My Home Depot bathroom story is a little wilder. I was using the Women's room (hell, I am post op) and a little girl came in on her own with dad and brother standing outside. Little miss managed to lock herself into the restroom stall and was yelling for Daddy HELP!! Dad sent in brother who was peeking into the stall where I was just pulling up my slacks, (no damage done to either of us). I went over and told dad to come on in and help his child(ren), but he would not come in since it was the Women's rest room. A female employee whom I know is dyke lesbian (but nice as can be) came in just then with a necessary screw driver to unlatch the door and restore the family. (I do not touch children other than my own or my grandchildren without another adult being present in eye view.) A bit of irony that it was a Lesbian and a Transsexual that helped the little girl out, and a REAL MAN was too much a sissy to come in and help his own child.
OMG...what a wuss of a man! I can imagine what that girl is thinking (and his son)..."Even if I scream and need help, there are times when my dad will be too scared to be there..."
I like the idea of stores having unisex bathrooms replacing the mass potty rooms. Group pooping is *so* 1950s ;)...
well good on you
