Title: Adding herbals to prescription regimen
Post by: Tori Jean on March 13, 2013, 04:30:13 PM
Hi everyone,

I just started  estradiol, and I'm super pumped about it! My doc wants to give that a month and then up the dosage and add Spiro, then finasteride a month after that. But I'm kind of impatient; I'm considering taking some saw palmetto supplements for antiandrogen benefits. Is this a good idea, waste of money, or a horrible idea? I'm probably just overanxious about starting my transition.....

Thanks!
Tori Jean

Hi Tori Jean,

I know anxiety is a powerful emotion. However if you 'were' a winning Formula 1 racing car, would you want someone to add kerosene to the racing fuel just to top the tank up?

Remember; throughout your journey, you are the Formula 1 car, that needs the professionals to ensure you remain the winning one. This is one hell of a 'race.'

Be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
