So my partner and I were talking last night, and we were wondering which I should start first. Should I wait to start laser until I srart hrt or start laser now and continue treatment until I get my letter? Any advice would be great. I hate this masculine facial hair. :embarrassed:
I started my first laser treatment the same week I had my first therapy session. Since laser hair removal takes many months I decided to start that right away. Also, it can take a few months to get a note from your therapist to start HRT so I figure I'll still be doing laser after I start HRT in a few months. Once HRT starts to kick in I should notice thinning of the hair which is perfect :)
I decided to get laser first as both take some time.
I'm at 8 months and still there is some left. No need for a referal for laser, so it's much easier to do and has an immediate effect. I felt on cloud nine after the first session, it did sting a little but it was worth it. Each session is easier than the last but the wait for the hair to fall out is a pain.
I love not getting a shaddow at 9am each day. ;D
Oh no after shave shadow would be great. Now if I could just find the money tree so I could afford it T.T

Essentially it doesn't really matter. Transition has a series of "must-do's"but the "when's" are generally entirely up to you.

I did laser years before anything else. TBH I can't stand body hair and getting rid of it was top priority. Still have not started HRT.
I started laser about a month prior to starting HRT. I figured that since laser takes over a year to complete, I might as well get started. I'm really glad I did. I started with my chest and abdomen, and I started developing breasts really fast, so not having hairy boobs was nice.
So looking forward to not having to shave from the face down twice a week

Twice a week? That is nothing! Before I started laser I had to shave every day.
;D eeep. I would shave more often but my skin can't handle it.
Been combining laser + electrolysis for 1yr 3months now. I hardly have to shave at all now (maybe 2x per month). There's some little odd ones here and there, but it's pretty much non existent. Whatever that's left are just those vellus hair.
