Title: Post-op BA & Martial Arts - Caution.
Post by: rhonda13000 on May 26, 2007, 11:05:21 AM
I am 8 days post-op BA, 440cc implants sub-glandularly placed.

It would be prudent to exercise caution in executing quick upper body movements or strikes for a bit, following the surgery.

Apparently, the intercostal nerves need some time to adjust to the dimensional changes.

I really hate learning via experience, sometimes.  :o :o :o

Sounds pretty painful. And it's time to work on the Tai Chi forms for a while.

I had quickly snapped into a stance and felt a sharp, stabbing pain across my left pectoral, which persisted for about a half hour.

The surgeon had only warned me about sustaining direct traumas to the breasts, but how could he possibly have known about something like this?

But I don't think that Tai Chi includes violent movements in its repertoire [to my knowledge].

I don't think that you have anything to worry about.
