Title: I'm getting a new ID! Any tips?
Post by: ZeldaHeart on March 27, 2013, 01:03:47 PM
I'm finally getting a new ID tomorrow at the DMV!  However, in  my last picture, my chin looks huge and I look masculine.  Do you guys have any advice for how to look more feminine/less masculine in the new picture?  I'm thinking of tilting my chin down a tiny bit to make it look smaller and cover my adam's apple.  I'm not masculine looking at all, but just want to make sure I look good since I'll be stuck with this thing for several years.  Thanks a bunch!

I'm not too sure what DMV means.. so...

if we're talking about Department of Municipal Vampires I wouldn't worry about the chin so much, just remember to look really pale and keep your mouth slightly open so they see your fangs.

However if we're talking about the Department of Motor Vehicles I'd avoid looking directly into the camera but look down slightly and to one side, so one ear is visible.

Framing your face with your hair carefully is probably good. And yeah, not being 100% looking towards the camera sounds good.

If really, your chin bothers you, you could have the picture taken with it partly buried in a scarf.

I don't know if it's the case, but I think if you lose your card, they take a new photo. So if it's awful, it's not hopeless. If I'm right, that is.
