Title: Androgyny interview on Model Mayhem
Post by: VannaSiamese on March 28, 2013, 01:34:15 AM
I was recently contacted by the staff of Model Mayhem to do an interview on androgyny, and this is what came out http://www.modelmayhem.com/education/modeling/5625-androgynous-modeling (http://www.modelmayhem.com/education/modeling/5625-androgynous-modeling)
The article is currently on the home page of Model Mayhem (www.modelmayhem.com (http://www.modelmayhem.com))

'androgyny is not only the beginning, but is also the end.'

' as society becomes more civilized and technologically more advanced, the demand for bigger, stronger men will become less, and the need for independent, empowered women will become greater'

This I too believe to be true. Although the shift is barely visible, it has begun.
The subtlety comes through in your photographs.
Not only are they breathtaking, but they also take my breath away for the very reasons you stated.
I don't have the words to explain it, perhaps because our binary language doesn't have the words.
The small yet distinct shifts in perception when I see those photo's is real.
Others attempt to capture that look, and they can be beautiful to the eye.
But in the mind they shift to either male or female.
They present the idea, but in the end fail to truly achieve it.

A good article and insight as to why you do achieve what you set out to.
'My specialty lies in capturing the ambiguity in gender'
This, I hope will always be yours to do.
