Title: Can laser turn hairs white and not fallout?
Post by: Misato on April 07, 2013, 01:36:37 PM
It's Sunday and I'm feeling slobby so I didn't bother to shave my face this morning.  Figured why not give the skin a day of rest since I'm going to be  a home body today eh?  Well...

With my stubble grown out more than it has been able to in awhile, lo and behold, there are a lot of white hairs on my chin.

Is it possible that the laser I had turned em' white and they're still growing despite being zapped?  I don't recall having any white hairs just a year ago before laser began.  Now there are a lot.  I mean a lot a lot. I guess it doesn't matter, if they're still growing I'm destined for electrolysis.  So, that likely means this post is more of a, "I'm getting older!" freak out than anything.  Doesn't it?

On the bright side I'd guess being white they won't show up as well...

I also seem to have a plethora of gray hairs on my chinny-chin-chin...I wondered if it was my age (48), or the laser...I had a few before, but now it seems nearly all remaining hairs are gray.

Oh well, I'm in the process for electrolysess...;)

Most of my dark hairs from face are gone now after laser.

However, now I also noticed that I seem to have a second "set" of beard, a complete white beard. I'm like some bearded Mrs. Santa Clause  ;D

On a serious note, I don't think that the laser has turned the hairs white. It's just that those white hairs are now visible, after the dark ones are gone.

Good news is that it doesn't really show outside. Bad news is that it will probably take this life time to get rid of all of them.

Most men I know by age 48 have grays in their goatees, so.... The downy regrowth vellus hairs tend to be blonde for me after laser, whereas my stubble used to be black, so I'm guessing you'd know if it was that?

I'm 35 and my family doesn't typically gray early.  That and, this would have happened awful fast.  It would have been since October.  When laser started.

Misato, I'm the same age as you. My father is now 64 and still no grey hair anywhere.

It's just that the white hair is more visible, when the dark is gone.

Laser by science cannot turn hair white...

Stress bad diet and genes do that

As the dark ones are killed off, the light ones that are not affected will be more visible.  Those will need electrolysis.

yess..
there is much research in lasers in the last 50years...
against tanks... against atoms... even flesh...

when a laser is shot, it always turns things black and
sets them afire...
