After seeing my endo on friday, I submitted my blood tests this morning and I was asked to step on the scales too. To my surprise, I was still heavier than I expected. I am 176 cm (thats roughly 5'7') and I was ~75 kg with my clothes on - thats around 74 kg without them. Now, I am quite fit - the only fat I have is a little bit around my waist and my belt is actually on its last hole now. My average weight when I was in my late teens was 65-68 kg and my build was that of the lean fit type (think of anything related to light athletics). Now, I suppose I still might have some 2-3 kg of fat around my body, which I could drop via combination of diet and cardio, but I believe that the main issue could be my bones. I know I cant drop my muscle mass yet and HRT is supposed to do that anyway, but what do You think - with 74 kg am I good to start my HRT or am I overweight as a female :) ?
What was Yours when You started the HRT?
Depends on your structure I would say... That, and muscle is generally heavy.
I started HRT at 68Kg, and I'm 6'1. Call it a clean slate for HRT if you will.
I'm 170cm (5'7' also about) and 65kg's (143 lbs). I consider myself just fine, a bit chuppy but I like myself this way than to be just a bone and skin. Haven't started HRT yet, but just today made an appointment to a doctor next month, who is willing to prescribe it to me. Don't plan to loose too many kilograms in one month :)
I also think that you are in healthy weight range. With 176cm, isn't that like 5'9'?
Lets just say slightly under weight just before hrt. But now I say between 116-128 at 5"10
5 ft 11 started HRT at 138 lbs...
Appetite kicked in now 147...
Waiting for complete demuscularization or what its called LOL
Started at 6'0", 180lb.
Now at 173lb.
Heading for 160-150, possibly less depending on if I look ok at that point.
I am 5'7" starting weight was 178. I am now 163 trying to get to 155, possibly lower but so hard to lose weight when there is not a lot of exercise I can do. So all the weight I lost was by diet alone.
Huh, well it seems that I'm overweight compared to all of you :(
Just don't see myself fat though...
Then again I'm most likely a bit older than most of you. I had some 20 to 25lbs less weight ten years ago.
6' (183cm), and 270 lbs (122kg) on July 12, 2012. I was 209 lbs last night, and I want to get down to around 165, but 150 would be wonderfull. Doing the loss through sensible eating lots of and house or yard work. But can't pull myself away from eating too much fresh fruit all day :embarrassed:.

Wait... You gained 61lb overnight?
I don't know, but that can't be healthy. :)
I'm 6ft, started at 170, now down to 150 ish.
Way back in the day... Started HRT weighing 165lbs (athletic) and 5'10". Lost a lot in two years or so and was 140ish (at leas that old license says so). Been about 10 more years and I'm around 155 now.
I was a hefty 135 or so when I started hrt nine years ago, I gained til I was almost 160 and then I started working again and dropped back down to 135, but now I've gotten it back up to around 145 and holding pretty well. Its tough for me to gain and keep weight if I stay active at all. I'm 5' 10" by the way.
I was at 176 when I started estradiol and blockers at the end of January.
Since then I've lost 18 pounds - I'm at 158 and trying for 150. Hopefully by then the last bits of male belly fat will be gone. Or not.
BTW, I know some girls have wondered how to lose weight after starting HRT. I've been really happy with the "Medifast" diet - about 1200 calories a day. Been losing around 2 pounds a week.
A lot of it seems to be muscle right now due to the blockers - the fat reeeealy wants to stay where it is. ;)
Oh, and I'm 6' 0"...
I'm 5'11" right around 175 when I started mone's. Since surgery having both hips replaced I've lost almost 25 lbs. Exercise regularly and try to eat healthy. Will be on mone's 5 years this July. My how time flies
I'm 5'5" and hover around 150lbs (68kg), and I'm starting HRT in early May. I'm rather self conscious about my midsection, but the rest of me is rail thin. Truly hoping HRT helps even me out, but if all else fails, there's diet and exercise -- which starts right away.
After this last fudge cookie.
Okay, I meant after this one.
*laughs* Who am I kidding, I love sweets. I'll get there when I get there.
My weight when I started HRT was a whopping 270 lbs. Yeah... not cool.
I have been on a STRICT low-carb diet ever since starting HRT, because this is the first time in my entire life that I have really cared about my body, and I knew that my metabolism was going to drop so I needed to get serious about it if I wanted to lose weight. And, well, three months in, I have dropped to 236.0 lbs. Proof positive that it is possible. My best friend went on this same diet, and she dropped from 215 lbs to 145 lbs over the course of a year or so, so it definitely is possible.
I'm going to catch up to all of you darned stick-thin girls one of these days, damn it!!! :P
92lbs, 5'1"....8 months of HRT, 93lbs. ???
154 pounds,I had been taking a lot of speed and not eating at weekends.
88kg and still 88kg now. But its not muscle anymore ;)
5'10" 140
now 5'9 1/2" 156
lost a lot of muscle and put it all into fat :P
Does anyone here know how to put on weight healthily lol. I'm 5'11 and I only weigh 115 lbs :/ it's annoying cuz I really want to be about 130 ish. Anyone with an extremely high metabolism put on weight on hrt/ gone on a diet to put on weight?
And how do people get shorter/ smaller feet on hrt? Biologically it doesn't make sense lol

omg im about your hight too and i cant wait to be 110-115 again. but if you really want to eat lots of simple sugars and high carb foods. also make sure you eat before bed. oh and whatever you eat on binge days like if you sometimes max out at 2900 calories a day double that by eating like ice cream and stuff. of and if your working out alot cut it out ;)
When I started, I was at 175 (height = 5'11"). Right now I'm sitting around 177-180. Probably lost some muscle since I have visually noticeable weight-gain despite only gaining a couple pounds. Hopefully gonna be a little thinner by summer. But I like food too much.

That's the thing.... I don't touch a gym and never have!! I feel like I'm too skinny :/ how much do you weigh, if you don't mind me asking? From your profile pic, your the kind of weight I'd like to be :-) your slim but you look healthy :-) I just look sickly :-(
For either gender, I think you are sliiiightly overweight; probably still in the healthy range. I don't think you need to lose weight, but of course, I don't think it'd be bad to lose a little either.
As for me... When I started HRT, I think I weighed maybe 140 lbs, which is roughly 63 Kg, (or was it 145 lbs ~= 65 Kg?) and I'm 165 cm (~5'5") tall. Now I weigh about 135 lbs (~61 Kg), fluctuating between periods of overeating and periods of undereating, from 130 lbs (~58.5 Kg) to almost 140 lbs (~63 Kg). I'm still a little overweight - my belly and body in general tells it all - but in the healthy range.
Also, use BMI (body mass index) with caution. It's a general - very general - measurement. It's not really accurate. Me, for example, I'm around the middle of the "healthy weight" range. But if you look at my body, you can clearly see I'm not that well. I basically have no waist, my thighs jiggle around a lot and my belly is still sizeable. Waist measurement is a much more reliable indicator of how healthy you are than weight. Because there's quite a lot of variation in what's a healthy weight for who, but not so much with waist circumference. Also, as you all know, the location of fat is important. Fat on the waist and belly is heaps worse than fat elsewhere.
I'm 5'6 and 135 lbs. When I started I was 140. I've been starving myself though to reduce some muscle from my arms and shoulders.

Lydia I go through periods when I like food too and it can be challenging
In the pick I was 159 but due to fasting and restricting I have dropped since this pic in November . I'm around 130 now
6' and 290 lbs when I started transition, then 6 months later, 6' and 250 lbs when I started HRT. At same height and weight now after 13 months on HRT. Doctors say I'm healthy, and all my numbers agree. But my family tends towards Sumo/King Kamayamaya size beauties and someone from a thin family would probably be suffering metabolic syndrome at my weight.
Eventually I will like to get out of plus sizes, but I have more important things on my plate right now. If I were to drop below 170 I would be very unhealthy; aiming for 185-190. My brother who is an inch shorter is about 220, and he runs/swims/bikes competitive times in triathlons regularly.
I started off at 295 @ 5'9 the lowest point in my life :( SO I changed changed my eatings habits and started to excercise during the 3 month wait before approval to start HRT. I got to 265. I honestly thought I was going to be told no on the HRT but my blood pressure, sugar level, Cholesterol was fine. AFter starting HRT I got down to 194 this month. My Goal is one 160 by the end of this year. I have not done any binge dieting. No fads. No pills. Just ate healthier. I count calories when I feel I am putting on weight. But I still have a mocha ,I gave up soda and smoking and I will keep my one vice :)
I also walk everywhere now a days. Especially from Spring till the end of the year when I pick up meds. Now I want to start running soon in the evenings because I would liek to run a half marathon next year.
Honestly I was afraid of loosing weight I didn't wan't to loose meh bewbs. I can fill a B cup before starting. I lucked out according to my therapist and doctor still got a full B cup.
Your very much right . My do for checked my girls a d the weight of. Other together rid ex out to add 3.3 lbs to me
When i started i weighed about 216, im 5 foot 9in and now I'm down to about 195-200lbs....sadly i have always struggled with loosing weight....but i sure can pack it on easily lol
I'm 175cm (5'9") and weighed 68.6 kg at the start of HRT, currently at 67.6 kg and waiting for muscle to reduce a bit.
Before I started I was 6ft1 weighing 82kilos and after 4 months I am still 6ft1 :p but I now weigh 76kilos
