Title: Large butt
Post by: Joe. on April 10, 2013, 02:37:54 PM
Is there anything to decrease a large butt or at least the look of it? Like a binder but for your butt? Once I bind full time I think my butt is really going to hinder my passing.

Not trying to be funny, but my gf wears Spanx sometimes. They're like really tight stockings that go from your waist to your knees...or you could start working out and it would probably help.

I shouldn't butt in, but you're in a bind. A butt binding bind. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. It's cheeky of me, but I'm anal about putting things behind us. Someone let me know if I'm making an ass out of myself.

old navy loose fit jeans solve this problem for me, especially if I wear them a tiny bit lower on my waist than normal with a good belt.

The Underworks 997 helps slightly; it goes over your hips so it smoothes out your profile somewhat. Also, T will probably help somewhat when you go on it, because it'll change your weight distribution. They've also started selling Spanx for Men in the UK, which will have the added advantage of being men's undergarments so you don't have to go to the lingerie section to buy them. ;)

But realistically? The only real, long-term solution is diet & exercise. I had a pretty large posterior myself a couple of years ago. I put on a lot of weight after having the kids and my dysphoria got much worse because of it. So I started to watch what I was eating (chocolate is my Kryptonite) and I hit the gym.

OK, I'm still overweight now, but I was borderline obese back in 2009 and I'm now just a bit overweight. My weight is now at a level where the Underworks does a good job, and I've worked my way from a size 42 jean to a size 32 (in case any American readers think this means I'm still the size of a small country, those are UK sizes).

Oh, and Devlyn? Priceless! ;D

Diet and exercise aren't always a solution. Being serious, someone with a really big butt might might not get rid of it by diet and exercise alone. But it might help.

Compression shorts can help. An inexpensive way would be getting bike shorts. I do have to point out that my brother has a big butt. His is bigger than mine, and he has way worse problems getting jeans that fit. He's a cis guy, age 20.

I'd suggest everything that's already been said, and sagging your pants really does help.
But cis guys do have big butts and no one questions them, take a look at baseball players.
