Second time you've posted about this so I think they're causing you undue worry.

I like stretched ears, I have stretched ears, and I'm stretching them to 5/8 and then stopping for a year or two. If you take them out you can always stretch back up if you change your mind. 2g is still small so they should shrink back in a few weeks. Might never go back to a standard piercing size but they will shrink a lot.

I've seen people in all walks of life and styles that have them. I guess I'm more casual. I'm always in cargos with a button down, polo, t shirt, or hoodie with a cap on.

I saw a trans guy on youtube who did reverse it. So I am guessing it can be done.
It's an individual thing. I am not used to them nor like them, but guess it might be due to my age or something.
I suppose you can google protocols to reverse them.

I'll be brutally honest, I think smaller tunnels and plugs look awesome but once they get to the point where you could fit a finger or two through them they start to look awkward. That's just my opinion though because I haven't met many people who can pull off the larger gauges successfully although I'm sure there are some out there who can.

2g is still on the smaller side so I think you're good. I've heard that anything below 00g will close up completely if you ever decide that you don't want them anymore.

I'm planning to stretch mine to an 8g or 6g and just keep them small but I have to wait for my ears to heal first since I just got them pierced a month ago.

I have one gauge at a 00. I was weird and decided to only do one ear that large. The other is at a 6. I love mine though. I've let my other facial Piercings close since I started working but I think my left ear will always between 2-00 gauges.

Plenty of people have them. The good thing about gauges and pierced is if you don't like them (and assuming they are small enough) you can just let them close. Much safer than tats in that regard.

I used to stretch my ears and was at a 0 at one point, but my ears itched all the time. So I stopped. Anyone know why this was?

Your ears didn't like whatever material you were wearing. I know a lot of people who stretch use acrylic because it's cheap but it's the worse thing you can use. Not only do a lot of people have reactions to it, it's also carcinogenic. If you stretch back up try steel/titanium tunnels or glass.

Also keeping clean, dry, and oiled daily with jojoba or vitamin E oil helps with that.

Thanks man! I'll be sure to do it.

I'm all for body modification, but really stretched ears are not my thing.  I don't like it, I don't think it looks "cool", etc.  I like smaller gauges, but not the huge ones.

I'm at the same point as you. I've had a 2g for almost 6 months now. I stopped at a 2g in case I didn't want my ear stretched anymore after a while and I'm glad I stopped. Just like one of the guys above said, once it gets so big you can stick your finger in there, it looks kinda awkward imo.

Small stretches are trendy and leave room for letting my ear shrink if I decide I don't want it anymore!

I've always wanted my bottom lip and one of my eyebrows done for years but I can't have anything in my ears. Despite excellent hygiene I get a lot of cysts behind my ears and when I had my ears pierced they got horribly infected and I still get painful cysts at the piercing site over a decade later. If I could have them done, I'd stretch to a small gauge.

Only thing holding me back is my fear of looking unprofessional and being passed up for jobs, having to take them out for a career. I'll probably get my lip done while I'm in college.

I think it is cool especially with the old school hip hop look. It really spices things up and shows a level of originality. Regardless, it is up to you. I was under the impression that if you take the gauges out they will close over time, that is what happened to one of my buddies.  She had 00 and in 6-ish months she was able to put regular posts though her lobe.
