Good news that Alberta has come to is senses about SRS.

Perhaps for the benefit of kiaraja, if she gets the ball rolling, so to speak, privately, is it likely to cause any problems for her when her place in the queue finally arrives?

I ask, because a few years ago, there was a not dissimilar issue in the UK NHS, where, if a patient took any private health intervention, the NHS refused to have any further involvement. I understand that the matter has been rather resolved in recent years, though here, most are strongly advised to keep their NHS Dr fully informed and to even make sure that it won't affect NHS outcomes.

The matter, of course, doesn't arise where patients don't have the choice of any sort of community medical support.
