Just a few brief pieces of info about me. I started hormones almost 13 years ago. I've taken, with Rx, both oral and injectible estrogen. I had a BA about 8 years ago. I decided a couple years ago to have the implants removed. I was having unrelated health issues at the time and I had to stop taking hormones. The implant removal was strictly a personal decision. Late last year I could go back on hormones, although at a lower dose. This is after I had been off them for about two years. When I started again in late December, I decided to use estrogen gel, applied to my breasts (I'm aware of the recommendations to not use on breasts, but Dr. said ok as long as it wasn't long term and high dose) and I also used a small dose of USP progesterone cream, applied at a different time than the estrogen. Within 3 months my nipples grew so much it was, is, shocking. They're still growing after 4 months, but not at the rate they were. It's shocking to me because they're now a little more than one inch long when erect. As I said, they're still growing, although it doesn't seem to be as fast as they did the first 3 months. Has anyone ever heard of this? I had been taking pictures every month to see if there were any noticeable changes in breast fullness, and although my breasts might have gained a bit of fullness so far, my nipple growth is almost "freakish". I know this sounds unbelievable, but it's the honest truth. I'm just curious if anyone has heard of anything like this.
Yes, I've seen some of that on myself though not as pronounced as you are experiencing, mine have grown larger in diameter along with the areola and are erect most of the time which is a bit disconcerting when wearing a T shirt because all the dorks act like Bevis and Butthead when they see nipples showing through a shirt of blouse. I have seen a lot of cis female photos of elongated nipples that some of the guy friends can't resist forwarding to me in emails, so I don't think it's too uncommon. It may be that the topical progesterone and estrogen application directly to the breasts is over-stimulating them.
Good to meet you miannne
Hope you find some answers and can tell us a load more about yourself. You seem really interesting from your intro.
Shantel- Thanks for the reply. I know exactly what you mean about erect nipples and the dorks. Mine are erect more often than not, and unless I tape them down and wear a padded bra, which I won't do, I get stared at every time I'm out in public. One thing that I don't understand, is why my nipples are so much bigger now than they were when I was on hormones for years. I don't know if being off hormones for a couple years, and then starting again, caused some kind of growth spurt or if it's because of the gel and cream being applied directly on my breasts and nipples, or if it's because of some other reason. I seriously never thought nipples could get this big, and especially this fast. I'm a little concerned about them continuing to grow. I wouldn't think they could get much bigger. The growth has slowed some, but if it doesn't stop soon, I might go back to oral hormones and see if that makes a difference.
spacial- Nice to meet you, too! Don't get me started on telling loads more about myself! When I post something, or email someone, I have to control myself, or I go on and on and never stop! But I'm sure I'll be posting more and opening up more about myself. Right now this nipple "issue" has me baffled.

I had mentioned on another thread that I had de-transitioned for two years after being on HRT for 12 - 14 years at the time back then. I hadn't had much breast development, just what I would refer to as minnies, but when I came back on HRT is when they really began to plump up and that's after losing 60 lbs with a good diet and fitness program. I'm no spring chicken either, so contrary to all the stories about breast development or any feminizing development being all in over the period of just a few years, I can attest that it's bunk. My cis spouse is trim and fit and she's still getting breast growth as well. So just hang on to your hat and try to enjoy the ride.

At the risk of claiming a certainty. I can say, without fear of contradiction, that if you do, it will be read and discussed and enjoyed.
Just write.

When I was on HRT the first time, I had fairly good breast growth, and most of it happened in the first 6 months. I was a 36B when I had my BA. I had large implants, so when they were removed, I was left with my original B cups, except they were saggy. As I said, I've noticed my breasts becoming a little fuller now, and can feel the breast growth coming back under my nipples, although it isn't painful to the touch this time, like it was the first time. I'm not all that surprised by the breast growth, just the nipples. As shocking as it's been the last 4 months, I have to admit, it's also exciting. But I've never seen nipples this big, even on a cis female, so it seems a little "freakish". But even with that, I really am enjoying the ride!
I just wanted to add, if someone wants to email me, I can send you one of the pics I took, to give you a better idea of why I'm so curious about this.
Have you asked your doctor about it yet? I'm not a doctor but I think it may be mostly the progesterone. I've read that pregnant womens' bodies produce more progesterone, and pregnant womens' nipples enlarge significantly, so....

I believe you, though my initial mind image was of something like Pinocchio's nose. ;)
By all means, talk to your doctor.
