Title: HRT & complexion?
Post by: FrancisAnn on May 04, 2013, 03:19:52 PM
Does HRT improve facial complexion??? I'm only resumed hrt for 2 weeks & it certainly appears that my complexion had greatly improved. Is that possible?

That is normal.  One of the reasons the cis women take this or the birth control.  HRT and birth control pills were advertised with this side effect.

Joelene, Thanks. I knew this however I just did not expect such a quick change. This is great, it's so nice to look & feel better each day.

Is the better complexion from the absence of T or the presence of E? Because my own complexion has only very moderately improved, but even though my testosterone is pretty much killed, my estrogen is still pretty low. And I'm hoping maybe these huge ports and blackheads and whiteheads will go away once I get a decent dose.

I'm not sure of the cause however it is so nice to see a smoother complexion. I've been taking much better care of my face & this may be a partial factor. Either way is great to have nicer face.  Good luck other girl friends.

I think that it is a combination.

Had big pores before, now they are invisible. And to my great happy surprise I became almost porcelain white :).

E certainly give you that female glow though.

What on Earth is that "glow"?

As I understand it? The subsurface scattering effect of our translucent skin is increased due to that skin becoming more translucent; in congress with the increased visibility of our blood vessel matrix, this makes our skin appear to 'glow' when exposed to strong light at a rate unmatched by our former cismale comrades.

Kinda like this, but muted and localized to areas of actual skin.:

I know pregnant women sure have a glow about them, they look so great in the middle of pregnancy. Their bodies must really pump out the estrogen. No wonder they look happy, it has such pleasant effects. I'll be taking it for the rest of my life.

I had kind of a medium tone before hrt. I was pretty dark for a Swede.

Some have asked if I am sick :P. But I am feeling good physically. I stay out of the sun though so it may help with my paleness.
