Title: Gotta date.
Post by: marilyn on May 05, 2013, 03:26:33 PM
September 24 Brassard Montreal
anyone going this fall??

I thought I"d be more nervous at some point but I've been feeling pretty relaxed about the surgery. Might be the xannies tho. ;) It's really only stressful organizing everything--all the way from getting hormones to psych tom jonsery and everything in between. Oh, I found a vintage tom jones button in a free bin. Prolly not vintage tho. Okay, so I hope everyone is getting where they want to be. Cheers.

Thanks Tristan! I'm taking a trip to 'Rejuvinate Mexico' in Guadalajara w. my sister, so I appreciate all the feedback you have given on your experience there too! Lotsa love! To everyone: I've been on Susan's before and I'm not being anti-social but I've just been through lots of webby interacts and these days I'm putting my energy elsewhere. Everyone have a great summer!

Conga Rats!   :D

Do you know what Brassards waiting time is looking like now (or did you book it a while ago)?  I'm hopefully getting my BC MSP approval in 2 months and will probably do something next spring.

Brittany: Suzanne at Brassard's offered me a date in June and July when I first called to ask for a booking about a week ago, but I wanted to wait till the fall so it'd be cooler, plus it fits better with my domestic bliss.

Also, does anyone have a link to,  or a list of supplies you need when you get home for aftercare.
I suppose I'll find out when I'm in Montreal, but I'd rather have everything bought and ready for when I get back.

I just called Suzanne today because I was booking a flight and needed to know what date they'd spring me from recovery.

My surgery is on Sept 24 and she said book the return flight for Oct 3rd. (the day after my birthday hehe!)
So I guess that's a full six days of recovery time. I heard some people say 14 days. I'm happy going home early tho.
It's around 11-12 grand for gummy implants and a trachea shave at the same time.
I was tempted, but I'm going to wait and go to Cardenas in Guadalajara. (better deals)
I'm a little suspicious that he has absolutely no before and after pix on his website.
He's been doing it a long time and I haven't heard horror stories but why no pix??
anyone know about that?

Thanks for the info.  Somewhere on the website I read 6-9mo waiting, but that's evidently out of date.

Some links I found re: post-op stuff:
http://www.tsroadmap.com/physical/vaginoplasty/sex-reassignment-surgery.html (http://www.tsroadmap.com/physical/vaginoplasty/sex-reassignment-surgery.html)
http://www.intelleng.com/zen.html (http://www.intelleng.com/zen.html)

I've read in various forum post that you definitely want to get all your supplies ahead of time if you can, don't want to be running around town trying to find stuff while you're recovering.

Maybe no pics due to patient confidentiality?

B.

Hi Brit
Maybe confidentiality... seems odd.
Honestly, I can't tell that much from before and after pix anyway.
thanks for the links, M.
