Title: four month update
Post by: Riley Skye on May 09, 2013, 11:08:51 AM
So It has been a little over four months since I started hormones and I have to say it has been a very up and down experience with many smiles and a few frustrations along the way. I'm finally feeling comfortable with myself on the inside even though it seems that my body is just lagging behind, no real developments so far but I am patiently waiting. My friends have been really coming around the past few weeks by giving me needed support and even my parents are very slowly coming to accept me. On another note I have recently for some reason been getting a little nervous about SRS after reading up about it but that's at least two years away. Getting back to the present I'm taking everything in stride and just riding the wave of awesomeness that transitioning is. Honestly I can't believe it has been over a year since I came out to myself and nearly eight months since I came out publicly. The future has a lot in store and I'm excited for what is to come :)

YAY! Awesome post!! Yes, the body moves a LOT slower than the soul, but give it time...and getting nervous about SRS is perfectly normal, indeed it might raise a warning flag if you weren't nervous...if you were casual towards it, I'd suggest reading up on it, one can't know what it's about (and its permanence) without being at least a little worried...

Well I'm nervous because I read up, I've always been scared at the prospect of surgery lol but I'm also excited. And I do say it is a wonderful feeling to finally feel whole on the inside, it's the first time in my life that i do! :)

So what should i be expecting over the next few months? So far 11 weeks into taking blocker I haven't really experienced much which I kind of expected but I'm curious of everyone elses experience.

Yeah ive been on T blockers for almost 3 months and just recently, the past few weeks went from a low dose to a more moderate dose and I'm also on a moderate dose of E also. I think my problem has been that my T was blocking most changes from taking place.
