So today I started spironolactone, prescribed by my doctor...yay
Low dose...but it's going to be doubled in a month. (Possibly adding estrogen at the next appointment)
My doctor is awesome, but in part it was due to me providing all of the information he needed. And going through counseling.
The pharmacist was like (looks at paper) you realize that this is heart medication right? I was just like, yes?
Finally I feel like Im getting somewhere...

Congratulations Skye :eusa_dance:
I just wish I didn't have to go to the bathroom every hour though...lol
Fantastic news, Skye!
(about the HRT, not the peeing!)
The next time the pharmacist pulls something like that, with crazy eyes, just grit your teeth, and without opening them, say, "I'm hypertensive man! Give me the drugs before I pop a vein!"
That should work.
Thanks lol
Yeah...I'll think of something comical to say...usually I don't even have to try to be funny...it just happens...
congratulations :D
Way to go!, just way for the estrogen its the good stuff! You could also grab you chest and act like your about to have a heart attack than act like it went away.... :o lol
Congratulations, hon! Hugs, Devlyn
I'm happy for you :)
Congratulations.

It's a problem to be sure.
But under no circumstances reduce your fluid intake. It simply won't work and will make you ill. Normal fluids.
